If someone ever told me that one of the Marvel Universe shows was going to do a Rosh Hashana episode, I would say to them they are meshuganah. So, Disney Channel, you are meshuganah.
That is because on September 15th at 8:30p, they have an episode of Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends that is going to be about the Jewish New Year.
In the episode “An UnBEElievable Rosh Hashanah,” Gobby steals all of the bees, so Team Spidey and The Thing must get them back and save Rosh Hashana.
In Judaism, honey represents sweetness. So during Rosh Hashana, we say a blessing as we dip apples in honey for a sweet year. So without any honey, we will all have a bad year. Therefore, we need Spidey and his friends to save the day, more importantly, the year.
