Andrew Lloyd Webber asked Madonna to recreate a scene from Evita for the Princess Diana Tribute, but she turned it down because she was already doing Live Earth. A source told the
Daily Mirror, "Live Earth approached Madonna first and she is committed to performing there. It would be extremely hard to rehearse for both gigs at the same time and she wouldn't want to give less than 100 per cent to either. Andrew Lloyd Webber was very understanding when she felt she had to say no."
I just don't understand why she can't do both. She does tours and movies, how is this that much different? You know she just doesn't want to do it because she is probably still mad she didn't get an Oscar nom for the role.
