Len Goodman was keeping a secret the whole time he filmed Dancing with the Stars this season, he had a cancerous tumor on his prostate according to
Daily Mail. The 65 year old judge's tumor was found in March during a regular doctor's visit, but waited until after the final dance of the season in May to have it removed. Doctors told him it was OK to wait and that is why he did so. He told the paper "‘I’ve had the surgery now. Everything’s gorgeously good. I’ll be back in September for sure." Thankfully he will be back in September and all is OK now.
Len is now urging middle-aged men to go for regular check-ups, saying: ‘Men, probably more than women, tend to ignore their health.
‘As long as you get checked up every year, then medicine is such now that if you do get something, then hopefully they can catch it early and you have a good chance. ‘I think that’s the most important thing – men of a certain age should have their check-up every year.’
