Back in 2009, we said goodbye to King of the Hill after 13 seasons. Or so we thought.
That is because today Hulu announced that they are bringing back the animated series with the original cast, Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Stephen Root, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick and Lauren Tom, and creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels.
“We are all so excited to welcome back Hank, Peggy and Bobby, and to see what they have to say about the world we live in and continue the conversations we began years ago,” said Craig Erwich, president, ABC Entertainment, Hulu and Disney Branded Television Streaming Originals. “This show has all of the perfect ingredients to meet this moment in animation at Hulu, and we’re so thankful to be having those conversations alongside this talented group.”
The revival of the beloved animated sitcom has been in the works since 2017. Good thing cartoons never age, or it wouldn’t be happening. Bobby would be like 38, and that would be weird.
Judge is having a good few years with his old shows. Not only is this show coming back, but we also got a revival of Beavis and Butt-Head. Please say Office Space is next!!!
