Right before the pandemic started, Josh Gad announced that he was doing a sequel to Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. And better yet, Rick Moranis was coming out of retirement to be in it.
But since then, we haven’t heard much about the project.
Well, now, nearly three years later, a pandemic and two strikes, Gad revealed to Julia Cunningham on Jess Cagle’s SiriusXM radio that the sequel is not happening.
It came close a few times, but Gad’s schedule got in the way. And now, Disney has moved on. And I am grateful they have because Gad would overact and that would take away from the quiet Moranis who needs to shine.
