The good news is that Jon Hamm worked for those Skinamax soft-core p0rn movies, the very bad news is that he was behind the camera when he was employed by them. The little tidbit was revealed when
Vanity Fair asked the Mad Man about his now
infamous appearance on a dating show. He told them, “I was actually at that time working as a set dresser for Cinemax soft-core-p0rn movies,” before adding, “It was soul-crushing.”
Although starring in one of those productions worked out for David Duchovny, he is one of the few that it did work out for. So even though I would’ve liked to have seen him in front of the camera in one of those movies late at night, in a way I am glad he stayed behind it. Who knows how his career would’ve turned out? His next movie Million Dollar Arm, probably would’ve been a whole lot different…
