In the year 1980something, Prince Charles is going to marry Lady Diana and the whole world is captivated by their upcoming nuptials. One of the people most excited about the Royal Wedding is Beverly Goldberg (Wendi McLendon-Covey). Tonight at 8:30p on ABC we find out that The Goldbergs wedding wasn’t all that, and Bev decides that she wants to renew her vows because of Charles and Di. Only thing is Murray (Jeff Garlin) really isn’t on board with the whole idea because afterall look who is he marrying and think what she has planned for the big day. Worst part is her dad offers to pay for whatever she desires, and what she wants is the perfect ceremony. The one thing that she can’t buy are the vows and she forces her husband to write his own. As we know he is not the best writer, but he does find his inspiration to say the perfect words to his bride-to-be-again. Only thing is when she finds out where they came from, boy is he in trouble. So is the re-wedding off? You just have to tune in.
The episode is not only about the parents, it also about the kids. Barry (Troy Gentile) and Adam (Sean Giambrone) start a garage band and Twisted Sister is their musical influence. When Barry hears his sister, Erica (Hayley Orrantia), singing with her friend and his crush, Lacey (AJ Michalka), he asks them to join the band. His thinking is if Lacey is in the band, she will fall in love with him. Will it work? Just like Twisted Sister and the Bangles (the band the girls like), they don’t mix well. But then again opposites do attract.
Tonight’s episode of The Goldbergs is sweeter than all the frosting on wedding cake, so you are going to want to check it out because who doesn’t love frosting? It’s like totally yummy and so is this episode.
