On March 28th, DC Comics is doing something that is very rarely done on television. Grant Gustin from The CW’s The Flash is going to play his character on
CBS‘s Supergirl. While crossover episodes are not that uncommon, it is very rare that it has been done with shows on two different networks. According to some quick research, the only time I can see that this has been done is when two of David E Kelly’s shows, Ally McBeal and The Practice, did a crossover.
Now back to our super friends, The Flash and Supergirl’s Executive Producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg said, “We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally, thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”
Now when are they going to get the Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and Gotham involved into mix? Actually Legends of Tomorrow and Gotham could work brilliantly together since the first show time travels and the latter one is set in the past. DC Comics make this happen.
