Hugh Jackman waited almost a whole lifetime to play The Music Man. He finally got the role on Broadway, and then came COVID. So, he waited a little longer.
Finally, he got the chance to take the stage as Harold Hill earlier this year. He is doing such a phenomenal job in the role that he received a Tony nomination for his performance.
Yesterday when the Tony winner (not for this part) was walking the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival for his movie The Son, he told the AP that the musical has an end date.
“Jan. 1 is going to be the last show,” Jackman revealed. “So we’ve got another three and a half months. So if you haven’t seen it, please come and see it.”
So hurry up and book your tickets while you can because those 76 trombones won’t be blowing for much longer.
