Heather Mills says she fears she could be shot dead or stabbed like former Beatles legends John Lennon and George Harrison.
Friends have expressed concern about her health after the estranged wife of Sir Paul McCartney was seen filming people on the street to gather evidence.
Armed with a video camera, the former model hit out at a photographer in a bizarre outburst.
She said: "People are pursuing me round the country. I said stay away from my baby. I have a catalogue of evidence.
"John Lennon was shot and George Harrison was stabbed and loads of kids are kidnapped."
Heather is said to fear kidnappers could target her two-year-old daughter Beatrice because of her links to The Beatles, according to reports.
The 38-year-old was left devastated after stories about her unsavoury past emerged, revealing she had posed for pornographic books and showing her performing sex acts.
She is thought to be suffering enormous stress in the wake of the damning revelations.
One friend told The Sun: "We are increasingly concerned about her behaviour. Naturally Heather is protective of her daughter but she is even more paranoid about her own safety."
It is thought Heather has turned to water therapy to relax.
The former model was seen carrying an aquatherapy attachment for a session at Hove therapy centre.
Despite the shocking stories about her past, Heather stands to earn £200million slice of her ex-husband’s fortune in their forthcoming divorce battle.
It is likely to be Beatrice who is the biggest cause of bitterness as the two start proceedings.
Sir Paul has offered his ex-wife a £25million settlement if she allows the toddler to live with him.
But Miss Mills has signalled that she would prefer custody of the child while lawyers have said she could win as much as £200million of Sir Paul’s £830million fortune.
