[ # ] Get on V’s mothership tonight on ABC!
November 3rd, 2009 under ABC

I am huge fan of the original V, so much so I spent Sunday watching the original miniseries re-air on SyFy for 11 and a half hours. So when I heard that ABC was remaking V, I was less than enthused. That was until I saw the pilot. The episode blew me away and I have been waiting almost two months for this show to start up, so I could watch the series play out.
There are elements from the original V in this one. Like spaceships hovering over major cities throughout the world. Also The Visitors say they are here to help us with medical advances and they need something from us to ensure the survival of their planet. Oh and the most important thing that is still the same is under their skin lives a lizard.
While those are the same things, there are changes and some of them are reversals of which sex plays certain roles. In the original V, the spokesperson was a woman and this time it is Scott Wolf so not sure how that will change things up. But the big one that was changed is the teen recruiter is a female and the human is a guy. In the original V their relationship lead to the human girl getting pregnant, so I can’t wait to see who will get pregnant in this version…that is if anyone gets pregnant? After all we did learn from Alien Nation that alien men can have babies, so maybe on V the human male can get pregnant?
This updated version of V starts off so much faster than the original one and the special effects are flawless. Seriously V is the most exciting drama to come to TV this season and you don’t want to miss out on any part of this show. So make sure to watch it tonight on ABC at 8p!

UPDATE: Some bad news coming out about the show today, according to James Hibberd V is changing up their show runners. That is never a good sign for any show. Especially since ABC split V’s airings to air 4 episodes now and the remaining ones to start up again in March. Plus it was widely reported that ABC put the show on a production hiatus because they didn’t like where it was going. Like I stated above I loved the pilot and I really hope this show does well because it is the best drama ABC has on their air right now. Their veterans are going to hell in a handbasket. Seriously when was the last time there was a watchable episode of Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice or Ugly Betty? I sure as heck can’t remember why I am still watching any of those shows.
