It has been about five months since most of the broadcast shows learned their fate, and today, Welcome to Flatch finally learned if Fox will ask for a third season of the mockumentary series. And the answer is they will not.
“While audience response was not as strong as we had hoped, we were thrilled with the creativity of the enormously talented Jenny Bicks and Paul Feig, as well as the outstanding, dedicated cast and crew they assembled,” Fox said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “We look forward to collaborating with them again in the future and are thankful for all of our partners at Lionsgate, Jenny’s Perkins Street Productions, Paul’s Feigco Entertainment, BBC Studios’ Angie Stephenson, and Charlie Cooper and Daisy May Cooper.”
Personally, I couldn’t even get through an episode of the show. And the ratings were a disaster. So I was surprised when Fox picked it up for a second season. But I am not shocked that they cancelled it. I am just surprised they waited so long to say so long.
