Back in May, Fox announced that Fox’s Chairman of Entertainment, Kevin Reilly, was stepping down at the end of the June. Yesterday, on the last day of the month, they announced the first show that he gave his thumbs up for that will not be airing. That show was
Hieroglyph. The midseason replacement was set to be a sexy tale during Ancient Egypt times and was picked up before the network even saw a pilot. According to
Entertainment Weekly the first episode was shot, and producers talked to Fox about the others ones. It was then that the network decided not to move forward with it. Personally, I think they made the right choice because the show would’ve bombed. That era doesn’t do well on television.
Too bad Fox doesn’t have Almost Human to fill that airtime because they cancelled the fan favorite in place of this failed show that won’t even air.
