Four peacocks broke free from the Philadelphia Zoo, which they often do, and they were looking for a quick way out of town. What is the quickest way to do it? Fly of course. Which they can do, but they heard about the problems that United has had with some animals on their flights.
Since that is not an option, they made their way to the interstate, for the first time in their many attempts for freedom, according to CBS3’sAlexandra Hoff. The only problem is that they forgot to rent a car and Philly drivers are not the most patient to let them take over the road. Luckily, someone, in the city of brotherly love, noticed their feeble attempt to get to Hershey Park, at least that is where I would go, and called the cops. Once the popo arrived on the scene, they gave the peapea an escort off of the road. But not before causing a major traffic jam.
What happened to the colorful birds? Well, they are still loose and looking for their way out of there if is the last thing they ever do. And we are left with the age-old question, why did the peacock cross the road?
