Earlier in the week, there were rumors that Facebook is getting a new name. It is not. However, the parent company is.
“Announcing Meta — the Facebook company’s new name,” the statement reads. “Meta is helping to build the metaverse, a place where we’ll play and connect in 3D. Welcome to the next chapter of social connection.
“The names of the apps that we build—Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp—will remain the same.”
Is anything safe from superheroes’ verses? I guess not.
Oh, and I hope that Metta World Peace sues them for copyright infringement.
