On Monday morning,
Ed Sheeran was reportedly hit by a car as he was riding his bike, and he injured both of his arms. Yesterday, he revealed just how bad his injuries are on social media. The singer said, “A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future. Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong. I’m waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that. Please stay tuned for more details.” Then his typer typed, “PS – Ed isn’t typing this as he has both arms casted/bandaged.”
The next gig schedules after the cancelled ones is November 7th, and I doubt he will make it. I had 3 broken arms, at separate times, and they each took over 4 weeks to heal. Plus, I feel for him because he broke both his arms at the same time, so he is going to have a hard time doing a lot of things by himself.
Hopefully, something positive will come out of this. Like we will get a new album because we have been playing Divide so much, it feels older than it is. Which is a good thing.
