Tonight at 9p on CBS, it is time for the season finale of Ghosts, which is way too soon. But that is not the point.
Anyways, Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) are finally ready to open their B&B because the first guests have booked their stay at the Woodstone mansion.
There is only one problem, they have termites and their next-door neighbors are threatening to shut them down. Therefore, they have to wonder if they are cursed?
It turns out that the couple is cursed, and Thor (Devan Chandler Long) is the one that did it to them. Luckily, the Viking knows a way to undo it. All Sam needs is to get some sugar and cinnamon.
Once Sam has those ingredients, it is time to undo the curse. But if she gets rid of it, does that mean she will no longer see the Ghosts? So before she does it, Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky), Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones), Pete (Richie Moriarty), Alberta (Danielle Pinnock), Trevor (Asher Grodman), Sass (Román Zaragoza), and Flower (Sheila Carrasco) say goodbye to Sam in case she loses her power.
Will Sam give up seeing the Ghosts in order to break the curse? I can’t tell you. But I can tell you it is a perfect season finale for a perfect season.
The networks think we want grit and violence, but we want wholesome fun. So, CBS took a risk with Ghosts, and it paid off for them and for us. The series that some thought would be a failure turned out the be the biggest new show of the season. Hopefully, we will see more like it next season. And even if we don’t, then we still have Ghosts. And it better get more than 18 episodes because that is not enough. Then again, 52 wouldn’t be enough either.
Thank you to EPs Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, the writers, and the cast for giving us a show that always leaves us with a huge smile on our faces.
If you are someone who prefers to binge programs, then you will want to binge Ghosts on Paramount+. It is worth giving it 9 hours of your time. Probably more than that because you are going to watch at least a few of the episodes more than once. I know I have watched all of them multiple times.
