Nirvana’s songs are set to be featured in episodes of US crime show CSI : Miami. The CSI franchise, which is known for its use of The Who songs, will feature four of the band’s tracks. The soundtrack licensing deal came about when Kurt Cobain’s widow Courtney Love sold a 25% stake in Nirvana’s song catalogue to Primary Wave Music Publishing. Love’s manager Peter Asher said : "We believe if we say yes to the right things, we can do both – make money and do the right thing for the catalogue." The episode of ‘CSI : Miami’, that is due to air in November, will feature several Nirvana with ‘Come As You Are’ set to feature most prominently. According to Forbes, the only condition that Primary Wave set was that the ‘CSI: Miami’ episode "Not feature any suicide or drug-addiction themes." Instead, the episode that will air, is about evil military recruiters. Speaking about the future use of Nirvana songs Primary Wave chief executive Lawrence Mestel said : "You will never see Kurt Cobain’s music in a fast food hamburger advertisement – that won’t ever happen. "We’re looking at things that relate to cutting-edge technologies, products that are green and eco-friendly, products that Kurt would have liked to have his music represented by."
