If you live in an apartment building in Los Angeles, chances are several of your neighbors work in entertainment. But if you watch shows like Melrose Place, then you would think that is not the case. Well The LA Complex changes all of that tonight on The CW at 9p because it is story of several people trying to make it this crazy world of Show Business.
Abby (Cassie Steele) is fresh off the plane from Canada and she is trying to make it as an actress/singer. After several failed auditions and no money coming in, she is forced to live in her car that is barely working. Feeling bad for her, her friend works out a deal so she can live the LA Complex for a few days.
Connor (Jonathan Patrick Moore) has just landed his first leading role on a TV show, but he has always been the leading man in The LA Complex. He is starting to learn that fame comes with a price.
Raquel (Jewel Staite) is former-child actress who can’t get any work as an adult. She tries her hardest to get gigs for her age, but she just can’t compete with the unknowns who look younger than her. She is The LA Complex’s most famous resident, but that doesn’t get her any work.
Alicia (Chelan Simmons) is trying to make it as a dancer, but just can’t get break it. Even though she isn’t working as a dancer during the day, she is working as one at night. And not the type of dancing she really wants to do. But that is all about to change when she meets someone at the club who will change everything for her and might be her way of The LA Complex.
Tariq (Benjamin Charles Watson) is working in the music business, but just not the way he wants. He has the potential to be a top-notched producer but his boss won’t give him a chance. Well he goes around his boss and sends a track to Drake. His boss finally see his potential, and hooks him up with Kaldrick (Andra Fuller) one of the biggest names in rap today. Only thing is both guys have a secret on the down low that will make things difficult for them. Will this partnership be his way out of The LA Complex or keep him there a little bit longer?
Finally there is Nick (Joe Dinicol) who wants to be a stand-up comedian, but his best paying job in a club is as a bartender. Not only is unlucky on the stage, he is also unlucky in love. He has a crush on Abby, but she has her eyes on another guy from The LA Complex.
These neighbors are going to try to make in Hollywood anyway they can, and that means they might do things they normally wouldn’t do. It is a real-life look into a fake world, and you are going to enjoy it so much you are going to wish that the hour never ends. It is everything you have ever wanted with a show that is about Tinsel Town and more. The LA Complex is so appealing it will make you want to move there, and never move out.
The LA Complex is by the same people who brought us Degrassi and Instant Star. We have all watched that show and related to what the characters went through because we went through it. But that was high school and The LA Complex is where we are at now. You will be relate to the situations that these characters go through because we have or know someone that has experienced the same thing. The LA Complex goes there and you will go there to watch it every Tuesday night on The CW at 9p.
