So you know what Charlie Sheen has been up to for the last few weeks and today the sh!t hit the fan. Sheen called into The Alex Jones Show (via THR)and bashed his Two and a Half Men boss Chuck Lorre.
Well Lorre and Warner Bros. have had enough of him and said, “Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros TV have decided to discontinue production of Two and a Half Men for the remainder of the season.”
So Sheen responded to the news by writing this letter to TMZ:
What does this say about Haim Levine [Chuck Lorre] after he tried to use his words to judge and attempt to degrade me. I gracefully ignored this folly for 177 shows … I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot can’t handle my power and can’t handle the truth. I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words — imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists. I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show for almost a decade to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong.
Remember these are my people … not yours…we will continue on together…
Charlie Sheen
And here is how Chuck Lorre responded to the whole situation in tonight’s censored Vanity Card:
It was more fun writing these things when I was fairly certain no one was reading them. That is no longer the case. These days it seems like every vanity card is getting scrutinized and criticized by network executives, corporate legal departments and publicity departments, TV journalists and tabloid bloggers. Believe it or not, my musings have been both cheered and jeered by TV Guide! But lately it’s gotten out of hand. Which is why I’ve decided to take a break for a few weeks. Let things cool off a little. Instead of writing short essays that upset people, I’ve decided to use my one second of network TV to do something simple and hassle-free. Starting with this card, I’m going to display a photograph of a part of my body that is entirely innocuous. No longer will I share some troublesome piece of my mind. Now I will share an actual piece of Chuck that is incapable of offending anyone. You know, a foot, a hand, or maybe a toe. So with that in mind, behold…
my knuckle.
When it comes to who won this fight, the answer is easily Chuck Lorre because he is still has two other comedies still on the air and I think Sheen is easily the loser because he is out almost $10 million for the 8 episodes that will not be produced because of all of this.
Although the real losers in all of this are the cast and crew of the show who were royally screwed by all of this. Money they were expecting to get from those 8 episodes is now not going to happen. Those are the people I feel bad for.
