Hugh Grant not invited to Liz Hurley’s wedding
February 19th, 2007 under Weddings. [ Comments: none ]

Hugh Grant has been left off the invite list for the wedding of ex-girlfriend Liz Hurley, he has revealed. The Four Weddings And A Funeral star will not be attending the lavish celebrations in Gloucestershire and India. It was rumoured that Jemima Khan, Grant’s new love, has banned him from going. But he has not actually been invited, according to Hello! magazine. "That’s not surprising," he said. "I don’t think many people invite their ex when they get married, so I’m not at all bitter, and there’s no bad feeling or weirdness, we’re just not invited." Hurley will wed Indian businessman Arun Nayar in March. Grant, 46, broke up with Hurley in 2000 and has been dating Khan for the past two-and-a-half years.

That one surprises me because the two of them are still good friends. I just wish she would get married already because I am so sick of hearing about the wedding.

Bam Margera gets married
February 19th, 2007 under Weddings. [ Comments: none ]

Jackass prankster Bam Margera has married his childhood friend, his rep confirms to PEOPLE. On Saturday, the 27-year-old professional skateboarder and MTV star exchanged vows with Missy Rothstein, 26, in downtown Philadelphia before about 350 friends and family members – and an MTV crew, which recorded the event for his reality show, Bam’s Unholy Union, the Associated Press reports. The wedding celebration included a performance by Iggy Pop, as well an appearance by fellow skateboarder Tony Hawk. The wedding will be shown in the final episode of Bam’s Unholy Union in early April. Margera (who was once reportedly linked to Jessica Simpson) and Rothstein got engaged last January while shopping at the Cartier store in the King of Prussia Mall, according to a recent story in the New York Times. Rothstein tried on an engagement ring that happened to fit her perfectly – and Margera proposed on the spot. "I was like, ‘Now’s the time,’ " Margera told the Times. "We just sat there and drank three bottles of Champagne. Then we forgot to get gas on the way home, and we straight up ran out of gas on Route 202." The couple have known each other since the sixth grade. After being out of touch for a while when they were both involved in other relationships, Margera and Rothstein got back together two years ago. "I love his spontaneity, even though it drives me crazy sometimes," Rothstein said. "I’d be bored if he was normal like everyone else." The couple will honeymoon in Dubai.

Hopefully they wii not succumb to the MTV curse. On that note how long do you think they will last?

Alan Cumming is getting married this weekend?
January 6th, 2007 under Weddings. [ Comments: none ]

Alan Cumming is getting married. I’ve learned the X-Men star will wed his American boyfriend of two years, Grant Shaffer, this weekend. The civil ceremony will take place in London, Cumming’s rep exclusively tells me. Cumming recently told Attitude magazine he would have preferred getting hitched in the U.S. "I think if we could get married in America, we totally would have by now," he said. The two share an apartment in New York City. Most recently, Cumming starred in a revival of Bent in London’s West End. Shaffer is an illustrator who most recently worked on the critically acclaimed movie Little Children, starring Kate Winslet and Patrick Wilson.

I always liked him, it is a shame he could not get married in the States.

Courtney Thorne-Smith got married again
January 6th, 2007 under Weddings. [ Comments: none ]

According to Jim star Courtney Thorne-Smith got married in a tiny New Year’s Day ceremony in the back yard of her Los Angeles home, her rep has confirmed exclusively to In Touch. The ceremony was so quiet that neither Courtney nor fiancé Roger Fishman told their families, In Touch has learned. "Not even the bride’s parents were invited," a source says. "They applied for a confidential license so it wouldn’t leak out before they did it." It’s the second marriage for Courtney, 39. She tied the knot with genetic scientist Dr. Andrew Conrad in 2000 but it was so short-lived that she announced her divorce just as the wedding pictures appeared in In Style magazine. In 2003, she called off her wedding to cardiologist Robert Andrews weeks before they were due to walk down the aisle. "She wanted to make sure she didn’t have egg on her face a third time," says the insider. "Courtney and Roger took an extended vacation together over the Christmas holidays. After they returned, they quietly made it all legal."

I didn’t know she was on TV again, but then again who watches According to Jim?

Marilu Henner marries college friend
December 24th, 2006 under Weddings. [ Comments: none ]

Actress Marilu Henner, best known for her role in the hit TV series "Taxi," has married a former college classmate who proposed from his hospital bed after surgery for cancer. Henner, 54, married Michael Brown, also 54, before 100 people in Henner’s home in Los Angeles on Thursday, The New York Times reported in Sunday editions. Henner, who made her Broadway debut in the musical "Over Here!" in 1974, wore a pale peach Escada gown and was given away by her sons Nicky, 12, and Joey, 11. Brown’s twin brother, a Universal Life minister, officiated. The two met when they were students at the University of Chicago. He had dated her roommate, and even after the couple broke up Henner didn’t pursue him because she didn’t want to break the "girlfriend code," she told the Times. In 2001, a mutual friend gave Henner’s telephone number to Brown and they went on a dinner date. Within a couple months, Brown was diagnosed with bladder and lung cancer. When Brown awoke from surgery to remove the lower lobe of his right lung in November of that year, Henner was sitting at his bedside, smiling and holding his hand. He proposed on the spot. It was Henner’s third marriage and the second for Brown, who has three children.
