Patty Hearst booked for Veronica Mars
August 23rd, 2006 under WB+UPN=CW. [ Comments: none ]

Question: Any scoop on Veronica Mars?  — Kelsey

Ausiello:OMG! I totally forgot to share with you the other major-ass-prattle-poop: "We have Patty Hearst booked for Episode 8," declares Rob Thomas, who says John Waters’ infamous muse will not be playing herself. "She is playing a character close to herself. She’s playing the granddaughter of Hearst College’s [founder], who in our world is a railroad baron rather than a publishing baron. It’ll be similar, but she is not literally playing Patty Hearst."

A Grand Gesture to Celebrate Everwood
July 21st, 2006 under WB+UPN=CW. [ Comments: none ]

When I read the Save Everwood campaign was going to be blocks away from my house, I had to go.  And I am so glad I went to show my support to one of my favorite shows that was cancelled way too early. I joined over 30 fans at an elementary school that let them park a Ferris Wheel on it’s property to let The CW, Warner Home Video and ABC Family know that Everwood still has loyal and supportive fans. Over a hundred fans, journalists and former Everwoodians took a ride on the Ferris Wheel today. The numbers might not sound that great to some of you, but considering it was over 100 today in Burbank that is a great turnout!

Why the Ferris Wheel? At the end of the series finale Amy hired someone to drive a Ferris Wheel to where Ephram lived to profess her love for him. The two shared a special moment on a Ferris Wheel, so that is why it was used. Like Amy, we wanted to profess our love Everwood.

Why the campaign? Originally it was to save the show Sadly as time went on and the sets were torn down, Rina Mimoun went to Gilmore Girls and others moved on it became evident the show was over. But we the fans want to own all 4 seasons on DVD, but Warner Home Video said that only season one will be released on DVD. So we are sending the message to them we want the remaining three two. (If you look at the bottom left of the picture you will see a red rooftop between the trees, that is around where Warner HV is located.) At least Everwood will be seen on ABC Family. (If you look at the picture the two buildings in the middle is where ABC Family is staffed. We heard that people in those buildings were able to see the Ferris Wheel!)

Now why do I love Everwood so much? Well the writing was amazing! It was real and just touched your heart. Greg Berlanti and Mickey Liddell did such an awesome job creating this gem with a cast that portrayed their scripts beautifully. During season one (2002) they aired Episode 20. It was the first primetime network show since Maude (1972) that a character on a show went through with an abortion. It showed all sides of the issue, but not in a preachy way and it left you balling. I was fan 19 episodes before that, but a bigger one after Episode 20. So if you get a chance rent the DVD or better yet buy it just to see it. I promise you will not be disappointed with that episode or the show. Oh and another reason I loved the show is that I have had a crush on Treat Williams since Hair!

Uncomfortable Gilmore panel at TCAs?
July 17th, 2006 under WB+UPN=CW. [ Comments: none ]

There’s nothing worse than watching two stars you like squirm under the pressure of uncomfortable questions. At this afternoon’s Gilmore Girls panel, it was apparent that stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel were not having fun answering pointed questions about the departure of show creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, the intense reaction of fans to the end of last season and the obvious lack of enthusiasm on their part to be returning for a seventh season.Graham admitted she doesn’t like "dog comedy," danced around the personnel changes and pretended she didn’t care about not getting an Emmy nomination (okay, maybe that was genuine). But the highlight came when a reporter asked new producer Dan Rosenthal a personal question having to do, I think, with Heidi Klum, or something like that. I’m not really sure. Anyway, he didn’t answer it (nor should he have had to), but it was Graham’s sharp, "Not pertinent. Next," that really brought the room to a standstill.By the time the CW publicist came out to announce the end of the panel, and the commencement of the "WWE Snackdown" themed snack break, it was a relief to everyone in the room. I think the only thing more uncomfortable was some announcer guy from Smackdown trying to get the attention of reporters as they rushed the stage to talk to Lauren and Alexis. Ouch. And now if you’ll excuse me, it’s snack time. I think I’ll have a cup of coffee in solidarity for the Gilmore Girls I once knew and loved.

Now Playing Magazine

I stopped watching this midway through the second season, and do not understand why the critics love this show so much. Even though an Everwood creator went to Gilmore, I would rather see Everwood on the air than this crap.  Plus I am not sure how well this show can do without the Palladinos?

One last ditch effort to Save Everwood!
July 14th, 2006 under WB+UPN=CW. [ Comments: none ]

Come Witness Our Grand Gesture!!!

What?

The Everwood Ferris Wheel Event.

This event is not only to get Everwood back, it is to draw attention to Everwood’s large and loyal fan base. By doing so, we will hopefully be able to manage to get the rest of the Seasons of Everwood out on DVD. But most importantly, it will show the Cast, Crew, and Creative Team how much the show has meant to all of us fans. This will honor and demonstrate our gratitude toward what a quality show Everwood is. Not to mention making an historic ground-breaking gesture of pulling off such an event.
When?

Friday, July 21st from 1pm to 6pm PST

Where?

The Parking Lot of Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary School
3333 West Oak St., Burbank, California 91505

This location was chosen not only for it’s nearness to the New CW Offices, but also it’s nearness to Warner Home Video.

Who’s Invited?

The Cast, Crew, and Creative Team from Everwood, Critics in town for the Television Critics Awards (TCAs) and Press Tour, all Media Outlets, all WB, CW, and UPN Executives, and of course, the fans!

Save Everwood and The TV Addict

OMG! I am so there! But sadly the truth is Everwood is over. It was an amazing show that too smart for The CW. Hopefully Greg Berlanti and Treat Williams will be back on TV soon.

Everwood, Everwood, Everwood!
