White Collar hits a home run tonight!
February 21st, 2012 under USA Network. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight’s White Collar on USA at 10p really hits one out of the park, Yankee Stadium’s park that is.
Mozzie hears that there is going to be a huge con going down Yankee Stadium and he wants Neal involved in it with him. Neal convinces him to bring the suits in on it and now they will all be trying to stop one of the biggest scores in baseball history. Will they be able to stop Babe Ruth’s first home run ball from being stolen or will they save they day?
You have to batter up to see this home run of an episode that was directed by Tim DeKay. In the last few months DeKay has proven himself to me as an actor playing a bad guy on Chuck and a lover on Hot in Cleveland and tonight he proved to me what a great job he does behind the camera in his directorial debut on the USA drama. I grew up in The Bronx and spent many a days at Yankee Stadium, but the way he captured the new one for tonight’s episode it made me want to go there the second I get back home. He made the surrounding area look so much better than it does. And if that is what he did with the outside, imagine what he did on the inside where we get a behind-the-scenes glance of a place that Ruth built…next door.
Now forgetting the landscape of tonight’s episode, DeKay also did a great job with the pace of the episode. He made the show move at the speed it should. It is as exciting as a tied game in the bottom of the 9th with three men on base, two outs and the batter has 2 strikes and 3 foul balls against him. I actually witnessed a moment like that live at Shea Stadium and that was exhilarating as tonight’s episode is. So my hat is off to DeKay in a total Neal way for a job well done by DeKay.
There is a reason why this was the first scripted show to get on base at the new Yankee Stadium.

You will need a doctor after tonight’s outstanding Royal Pains
February 15th, 2012 under USA Network. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight’s Royal Pains on USA at 10p is so outstanding, I want to tell you all about it but I can’t because it will spoil something you will never see coming. Hank (Mark Feuerstein) has two patients in his life that he considers friends, one is Boris and the other is Jack. Tonight for the first time both men are in an episode together and we will get an update on both of their health issues. Boris (Campbell Scott) is back and seems to be doing well, but someone from his past might put his life at risk. Then there is Jack (Thomas Cavanaugh) who is putting his own life at risk by ignoring what his doctors told him to do. By the end of the episode one of them will wind up in the hospital and things are not looking good for him. How will Hank handle having both patients/friends back in his life? And how will Hank handle what happens at the end of the episode? I don’t even know how I will handle the surprise ending that you won’t see coming in what is the show’s best episode yet. Anyone who is or has been a fan of this show needs to watch this episode that will leave you speechless.

Royal Pains is accepting patients again
January 18th, 2012 under USA Network. [ Comments: none ]

Royal Pains is back on USA tonight at 10p and so much is answered during tonight’s premiere. The show picks up with Hank rushing Eric Kasabian to the hospital after he suffered what could be deadly complications from getting oral steroids. Hank blames Dr Van Dyke for the screw up, but Van Dyke knows that it was Divya who prescribed a possibly lethal dose. Now Divya has to face the consequences from her mistake. Will she finally tell Hank that she has been moonlighting at the hospital? And more importantly will she lose her first patient due her mistake?
Meanwhile Evan is trying to win over his future father-in-law who is hot and cold with him marrying his daughter Paige. Will Evan ever be able to propose to Paige or will it be the end for these two? And it isn’t the only relationship on the rocks, Hank and Jill are having issues too.
And since Hank never has enough on his plate, HankMed is helping a party planner who has suddenly gotten sick the day before the Hamptons biggest bash. But that isn’t all, Tom Cavanagh is back as golfer Jack O’Malley and due to his health he will be sticking around for a while.
Royal Pains might take place in the summer, but it is just as hot in the winter.

Lucky seven for Psych.
January 10th, 2012 under USA Network. [ Comments: none ]

Psych is a show that fans get psyched about, so USA found an interesting way to let them know that show will be back for a seventh season. Through out the day they dropped hints via pineapple puzzle on the Psych Facebook page to let the viewers there was a big announcement coming. Finally they revealed via video that the show was going to be back. In fact USA told the fans before they told the press and I hope it is a trend that continues. Sort of.
Now that we know if the show is back, I really hope they get the last Breakfast Club member to do the show. Actually screw that, I want a reunion of the whole cast on the show. Don’t you think that would be awesome? Maybe there is a case that happens in a school and they are all teaching there for some reason. How and why Ally Sheedy’s character would be there is up to the writers and they need to make it happen. Right???
