Dave Chappelle has canceled a performance scheduled for Thursday at the Comedy Festival in Las Vegas, organizers said Monday without providing further explanation. Chappelle’s agent and representatives couldn’t be reached for comment. The comedian made headlines in April 2005, when he mysteriously walked away from a lucrative deal for his hit Comedy Central TV show. The Comedy Festival is put on by HBO and AEG Live. Bill Maher will still perform Thursday, but his show has been moved up by an hour to 9:30 p.m. People with tickets for Chappelle’s show will get refunds.

The controversial photo accompanies a Q & A with Vargas in the December issue. A source close to the anchor says Vargas’ is disappointed but has a sense of humor about the whole thing. "Elizabeth was more than happy to sit for the interview but was disturbed that the magazine would set aside basic journalistic standards to photoshop her head onto a fake image. Vargas did joke that her real baby is cuter, that she is proud to breastfeed her newborn but wouldn’t do it at the anchor desk and that she wouldn’t be caught dead in that ugly gold blouse!"
The idea that I would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable to me. For this to become a focus of attention, given the talent gathered, is utterly ridiculous. Carrie is a talented and deserving female vocalist of the year.
The moment of the night, at least backstage and on a lot of TiVos, belonged to Faith Hill.Even though she didn’t win. Hill, a nominee for female vocalist, was on camera along with fellow contenders Sara Evans, Martina McBride, Gretchen Wilson and Carrie Underwood. When Underwood was announced as the winner, the camera caught Hill with arms raised, as if poised to accept, then a split second later mouthing a surprised, “What?” Sandra Westerman of Borman Entertainment, Hill’s management company, says Hill was just joking and didn’t know she was on camera: “She would never disrespect one of the other artists.” USA Today (Thanks Clinton!)
