Not shocking news, but still fun to share. America Ferrera is a huge diva on the set of Ugly Betty and causing tension on the set of the show according to ONTD.
“Everyone on Ugly Betty needs a break–but America is the root of the trouble.”
Last month, ABC programming bosses announced that they were putting the hit dramedy on hiatus–indefinitely–beginning March 26; Ugly Betty producers hope some time off will help the young star put things in prospect.
“… The brass is sick of dealing with the cast’s petty disagreements and infighting instigated by America’s diva behavior,” one spywitness claims. “They’re hoping the hiatus scares America straight and serves as a reality check that she’s not indispensable-and not the center of the universe.”
I have heard rumors about her and this news doesn't shock me. Hopefully she will realize she needs this show more than the show and ABC need her. Just like TR Knight and hopefully Katherine Heigl once they say goodbye to the TV shows that made them, we will be saying goodbye to them too!!!
ABC just announced they are changing Thursday up and they are replacing Ugly Betty with Samantha Who? and In The Motherhood starting on March 26th. Both comedies will finish their runs before Ugly Betty returns…if it returns? With this announcement I wonder if both shows, that have been declining, are in trouble for being picked up for next season because it is never a good sign when a show is yanked from the schedule. Also both shows have received noms for their lead actress at several big awards shows, but neither have brought home the gold for the last few years. And those wins help to keep a show on the air, look what happened to Boston Legal when it garnered no wins.
So when it comes to which show I want to be saved, hands down it would be Samantha Who? which still makes me laugh unlike Ugly Betty which seems like the same thing every week. Betty screws up, but eventually saves the day. Then again I could be just reading to much into it

I just realized how much I half-a$$ watch Ugly Betty this season, this is Ralph Macchio’s second episode of the season. But since the show is so lame this season, and I didn’t even know he was already on last week and it is Ralph Macchio…I felt I would share it with you guys anyway. He looks just like he did when he was younger! So cute!!!
Seriously am I the only one wondering why they are still watching ABC on Thursdays for Ugly Betty and Grey’s Anatomy?
Lindsay Lohan was suppose to do 6 episodes on Ugly Betty, but her order was cut down to 4 because her and the declining star America Ferrera didn’t get along according to Page Six.
One production source said, “It was a mess. Lindsay would show up every day with an entourage of people. She smoked 24/7, and after she left, they had to repaint her dressing room it was such a mess.”
In addition, Lohan “would obsessively cut pictures of herself out of the tabloids like she was creating some sort of scrapbook and refused to go on set until America was there – it was a power play.”
One episode, titled “Granny Pants,” was about how Lohan, playing Betty’s high school nemesis, would “de-pants” Ferrera. But Ferrera exacts her revenge and pulls down Lohan’s pants instead. “Lindsay wasn’t wearing any underwear,” the source said.
But a Lohan pal fumed, “Bull [bleep]! Lindsay wears underwear all the time now. She was wearing a G-string. And it was America’s fault. They were rehearsing the scene and America wasn’t supposed to pull Lindsay’s pants down – but she did. Lindsay was so embarrassed, she started crying.”
As for the dressing room, Lohan’s pal said it was also used by the cast of the Fox sci-fi thriller “Fringe.” “So maybe they messed it up. And an entourage? Yeah, she had her sober companion with her, as well as her manager, assistant and [girlfriend] Samantha Ronson. Her publicist was there a couple of times. But so what?”
The pal blames Ferrera for any issues, saying, “America was mean to Lindsay. Producers give her too much power. Lindsay didn’t do the last two episodes because America didn’t like her and got her kicked off.”
Ferrera’s rep would only say, “America is grateful to have had her on the show and thinks everyone should tune in to see how great the episodes are.”
Lohan’s rep said, “Lindsay was scheduled for six episodes and is appearing in four but had a lovely time.”
I think America Ferrera was jealous that Lindsay Lohan was getting all the media attention when she was on the set and didn’t want the competition so had her fired.
BTW that Granny Pants episode airs tonight on ABC at 8p to see how it all turned out. And I am the only one who is over Ugly Betty this season? I am so close to removing the show from my DVR.
