Check out the new Pine Valley!
March 29th, 2013 under TV Soaps. [ Comments: 1 ]

We exactly a month a away from All My Children (and One Life to Live too) debuting on Hulu, but you don’t have to wait until April 29th to get a glimpse of the new Pine Valley. Hulu released a behind the scenes look on how the crew recreated the old sets from NY and LA for their new home in Connecticut and also gave them some new rooms to play in. Plus you will see cast members from the soap opera reunite and do their first scenes together.
Looking at this little teaser makes me even more excited to see what they have done with these two fan favorite shows!

All My Children and One Life to Live to premiere on April 29th!
March 11th, 2013 under TV Soaps. [ Comments: 1 ]

Back on April 14, 2011 the Soap world was rocked when ABC announced that they were cancelling both All My Children and One Life to Live, and now just over 2 years later on April 29th they will live again. Prospect Park tried to save them immediately, but were unsuccessful until now. The two shows will be getting their reprieve on Hulu and iTunes at the end of April and Soap Opera fans around the world are rejoicing over the news. Their comeback is finally a reality and we can tune into their one of a kind reality whenever we want.
Let’s make these two shows a huge success online because if we do, then we might be able to save some more shows that met their demise way too early. If Arrested Development, AMC and OLTL have proven anything, it is that it’s never too late! So let’s pray for future episodes of Jericho, Everwood, Eli Stone and Work It!

Steve Burton’s not so welcoming tour to The Young & The Restless!
January 25th, 2013 under TV Soaps. [ Comments: none ]

The soap opera world was rocked a few weeks ago when it was announced that Steve Burton was returning to daytime television, but not to General Hospital instead he was joining The Young & The Restless.
Since he is a big deal, they made sure he was given a tour of his new home before he starts airing on the show this Tuesday. Joshua Morrow was the person who was given the honor and I am not sure how welcoming he was to him. Watch the tour of the behind-the-scenes and judge for yourself.
If the other cast members treat him like that, I am sure he will be back in Port Charles before we know it. And that would be a good thing!

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives until 2014!
January 9th, 2013 under TV Soaps. [ Comments: none ]

Days of our Lives is celebrating its 12,000th episode this week and to honor that NBC renewed the daytime drama for another year. So that means that NBC’s lone soap and one of the only 4 left won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
I am so happy NBC is sticking with DOOL because it is the best of the bunch.

Steve Burton returning to Daytime Television?
December 26th, 2012 under TV Soaps. [ Comments: none ]

Less than 3 months after Steve Burton left General Hospital, there is some good news and some bad news today. The good news is that he is returning to Daytime Television, but the bad news it is not to Port Charles. TV Guide is hearing rumors that he is set to reunite with former GH show runner Jill Farren Phelps over at The Young and The Restless.
If this is true, it definitely will have a lot of people asking some very interesting questions. Like why did he claim he was leaving the show to move his family to Nashville, but only to wind up back on another soap a few months later. Why was GH so bad for him that he had to leave to the show after so many years? Who else will be leaving because of that? Were people let go because he left GH and others fired over at Y&R so they can afford to have him on the show.
It definitely is an interesting turn of events, a turn that benefits one soap and hurt another one.
