24 hours after Matt Lauer was fired from the Today show and several more women coming forward with their stories about him, the disgraced anchor broke his silence in a statement. He apologized for his actions and said that not all of the accusations are true. Enough are and that is causing him to look with himself because of his sickening actions.
His saying enough are true makes you wonder which ones are correct. We know Katie Couric is not lying about him pinching her ass over and over again. We heard him tell Meredith Vieira to keep bending over. So is it the button under his desk that locked the door in his office? Or the woman he gave a sex toy to and said he wanted to use it on her? Or the woman who said she had sex with him in his office and regretted it afterwards. Or the woman who said he exposed himself to her and asked her to perform a sexual on him? The list goes on and it is all so nauseating.
When it comes to NBC, they need to step up and look at all the past accusations that have been made about the employees by employees because they washed their hands of the situation when they said the “current” management has not heard complaints. I would assume a lot of human resource departments at major corporations are sitting on a lot of employees who have been accused of sexual harassment and it is now time for them to clean house. We need to let the next generation know we are not going to take it anymore.

For years, there have been rumors of Matt Lauer’s demise and today it finally happened on Today. The highest paid anchor on morning news, a reported $20 million a year, was let go after he was accused of “inappropriate sexual behavior.” The head of NBC news felt that this was not an isolated incident, and that is why they made the decision to let him go after 30 years.
Also throughout the years, he has publicly been accused of cheating on his wife, of almost 30 years, multiple times.
This news is shocking, but this is nothing to new in the news business. These claims have been made almost everywhere, and now the higher ups are finally listening because their complaints have gone public. While this has hit the news business especially hard over this year, know it is every field of employment. Do not act like it is not. We just don’t care as much when it happens to a manager of a local store in Topeka. You know happens there, just as much as happens in Hollywood, DC and NYC.
I am so happy that women can now feel safe at the workplace and know their voices are being heard. We have put up with it for way too long and I hopeful the next generation of women will not have to go through what I and so many other women have gone through. It haunts you for the rest of your life and my first incident happened to me when I was just 18, right after I graduated high school, working at a local deli. Like I said, it can happen anywhere.

News producers around the country are getting revenge on their on-air staff by making them do the One Chip Challenge in front of the camera. If you do not know what that is, it is a tortilla covered with Carolina Reaper pepper, the hottest pepper in the World, so hot that only one chip comes in the coffin. They say you can only eat one and most people cannot even do that.
KYW’s Jim Donovan and Rahel Solomon decided to try it out after they saw Shaquille O’Neal do it. Solomon warned her co-anchor that because she is Ethiopian she is used to eating hot peppers. It did not matter to him. Then the day came and her heritage saved her, while his nearly killed him. He went over 6 minutes without drinking any milk and he did things I have not seen an adult male do. He was doing that pee dance, that kids do, to lessen the pain in his mouth and it did not work. He cried, he sweated, he danced and nothing work. Did the milk help? Nope, it just made it come up. Meaning it burned twice as much because it was going in both directions. Ouch!
As he suffered, Solomon stood there like she ate a Dorito chip, which personally I am thinking she did. What do you think?
Also, why do they only show people taking the challenge? I want to see what happens when the chip comes out. You know they say, “Burns going in, burns even more coming out.” I just want to see their faces and hear their screams as that happens. Is that wrong?

Picture this, you are a cameraman and you find the perfect spot to cover the implosion of the Georgia Dome. You stream out your video live for 40 long minutes and the time has finally come. You hear the first boom and you see the building start to collapse. And then…a f*cking MARTA Bus pulls up in front of you to watch the demise of the sports stadium and you cannot see what is happening. Finally, the building is leveled and the &$$#0[3 moves out of your shot. Sadly, it is too late and you cannot get a redo. What do you do? If you are James Crugnale from the Weather Channel, you curse because there is nothing else you can do. Well that and cry. Which I would done both.
So a friend of mine, who was a photog in Atlanta, told me this would happened to her all the time. MARTA is notorious for getting in the way of newspeople’s camera shots.
When it comes to MARTA, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Goldie Taylor told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, “Given the potential dangers of bringing down the largest structure of its kind… If this is the biggest story, we’re really glad about that.” Although she did Tweet the cameraman a sincere apology in a bitchy fashion sort of way. And that is probably why when I when I lived there, I did not know anyone who took their crappy buses.
When it comes to the implosion, it was actually lame and I was very disappointed. I was expecting more for the take down of that eyesore. I hated looking at that building when I drove into work.

Today on Today, the anchors were talking about airplane etiquette. The first lesson is what do you do if you have to pee and the person in the aisle seat is sleeping. Do you wake them up? Or do you climb over them? Al Roker chose the latter and shoved his butt in everyone’s face, butt Daly who was in the aisle. He got up close and personal with another one of the weatherman’s body parts like his weather stick. Where is Matt Lauer when you really need him?
