Tonight at 10p on TNT, Proof debuts and it is a medical drama unlike all of the other ones.
Dr. Carolyn Tyler (Jennifer Beals), is a brilliant surgeon who is very wrapped up in her work and only believes what she knows. Her life has gone through some drastic changes in the last few years, her son died, her marriage ended, her daughter wants nothing to do with her and she almost died in a boating accident. She saw something when she nearly drowned, but she doesn’t believe it might’ve been life after death. As a doctor, she doesn’t believe in it.
Then, one day the billionaire, Ivan Turing (Matthew Modine), insists in meeting with her. He is going to die and he wants her help. Not her help as a doctor, but he wants her to prove that there is life after death. At first she doesn’t want to do it, but eventually she gives in. He gives her cases that might explain the hereafter and she has to figure out of they provide the answer or medical training does.
Each week, we see her be tested, as we all get one step closer to finding out what happens when we die. Hopefully, she will get an answer before Turing finds out for himself.
Proof is a really intriguing show because just when you think you know what is going to happen, something happens that changes it all.

Before we get to Proof, Rizzoli & Isles is back for its sixth season at 9p on TNT.
Frankie (Jordan Bridges) and Jane (Angie Harmon) chase a suspect into a train station and he gets away from them. The two of them split up and Frankie finds him first. Frankie sees that he has a gun, so he shoots and kills him. When the everyone is cleared away from the scene, the suspect’s gun is missing. Now Frankie is being accused of killing an unarmed man. Did he do just that or did the suspect really have a gun.
Now it is up to Rizzoli & Isles (Sasha Alexander) to solve the crime before Internal Affairs does. Plus, there is so much more on the line than just the shooting, that it is dire they find out what happened so they can prevent what is about to happen.
Tonight’s episode is so exciting, it is what CSI: Cyber should be. There’s a cyber element to it and this show perfected how to interact it with a police procedural.

Also at 10p, but over on TBS get ready for the new comedy Clipped!
Clipped is about 5 school friends who work at a barbershop with another friend from their youth and the guy who sold his store to him.
Dani (Ashley Tisdale) and AJ (Mike Castle) slept together on their prom night, but since then they have just been friends. Everyone can tell that there is more to their relationship, but them. Charmaine (Diona Reasonover) is Black and Jewish and she makes fun of Buzzy (George Wednt), who’s in the chair next to her, because he’s dating a Black meterman. Then there is Ben, who bought the place from Buzzy and he has a real Napoleon complex. His BFF, Mo (Matt Cook), is someone he bullies and Mo has had enough. Finally, there is Joy and she is the sweet one that is the receptionist.
Together they make up a barbershop, I totally want to get my haircut at. Since it doesn’t exist, I can just watch the show instead.

Rebecca Romijn talks about guarding The Librarians!
December 14th, 2014 under TNT/TBS/TCM. [ Comments: 3 ]

Last week, America feel in love with The Librarians and tonight at 8p they are back for more on TNT!
So what can we expect from the upcoming episodes this season, The Guardian aka Rebecca Romijn previewed what is ahead for these magical artifact hunters. Recently on a conference call, she said that each episode is a standalone, but that all of the artifacts that they recover during the season will play a part in the big season finale.
So what are some of those magical items that they will be searching for each week? She shared with us, “We have the minotaurs. The thread of the labyrinth was a favorite one of mine. We get stuck in a labyrinth with a minotaur in one of our episodes.” In another one, “A fairy tale episode where fairy tales are coming to life in the small town and hurting people and killing people. And we slowly start turning into fairy tale characters.” Since you can’t air in December without a Christmas episode, there is one coming up next week. In that show, she said, “We have to drive Santa Claus back up to the North Pole and she doesn’t believe in Santa Claus and she’s not happy about it.” While she is not happy about it, we will be happy to learn her backstory as the she makes the long arduous trek.
Even though she can do comedy brilliantly, she is the straight (wo)man in the series, so I wanted to know what that is like for her. She explained, “I think it’s actually sometimes the most fun to play the straight man. I think playing the straight man is kind of the funniest character personally.” Then she added, “I love getting to be the skeptic of the group. I love getting to be the voice of the audience because it’s ridiculous. I mean every single episode the missions that are thrown our way are absolutely ridiculous.” We wouldn’t have it any other way.
Now what about those TV Legends ER’s Noah Wyle, Max Headroom’s Matt Frewer and Night Court’s John Laroquette, who appeared in the two hour series, will they be back for more hijinks? The child of the ’80s, said that all of them will return for a handful episodes.
Just in case, you needed another reason to watch this brilliant fun adventure every Sunday at 8p on TNT! But personally, I don’t think you need any more reason to enjoy this show then the fact that there is nothing else like it on television. That and it is an enjoyable show the whole family can watch together and love it all the same.
