Round who can count any more: The Donald vs Rosie
January 9th, 2007 under The View. [ Comments: none ]

"Dear Rosie,

I hope you had a wonderful vacation with your wife — you needed the rest.

An article in today’s New York Post indicates that you blew up at BARBARA WALTERS for being a ‘liar.’ Actually, I don’t blame you, but in fact she lied to both of us! After your maniacal and foolish rant against me two weeks ago, Barbara called me from her vacation (I did not call her) in order to apologize for your behavior. She had heard that I was going to retaliate against you and tried to talk me out of it. She very much wanted me to go on the show as soon as she got back so that she could ‘patch things up’ (I said no). To be exact, she said that ‘working with her is like living in hell’ and, more pointedly, ‘Donald, never get into the mud with pigs’ and, ‘don’t worry, she won’t be here for long.’ Barbara knows exactly what she told me over the phone and she has to live with it. Perhaps that’s why her initial statement was so mild!

In another incident, when I saw her eating at Le Cirque about two months ago and asked how ‘Rosie was doing,’ she sarcastically rolled her eyes and said ‘Donald, do you have to ruin my meal.’

In any event, you have a good reason to be angry. Please give my warmest regards to Kelly!

Sincerely,
Donald J. Trump

P.S.

I was surprised that you let your spat with Barbara get into the newspapers, but, as I have always said and as you proved with Rosie, the magazine, you are very self destructive. You must work on this for your own good!"

Now it is Rosie vs Barbara Walters
January 9th, 2007 under The View. [ Comments: none ]

THE tension between "The View" creator Barbara Walters and co-host Rosie O’Donnell, sparked by O’Donnell’s feud with Donald Trump, boiled over yesterday morning when the portly comic called Walters "a [bleeping] liar." The fight started around 8:30 a.m. when Walters, back from a two-week vacation, walked into the hair and makeup room at ABC studios and tried to hug O’Donnell, whom she hired onto the popular show. According to spies, O’Donnell recoiled from Walters’ touch and yelled, "You kept me in the newspapers this whole time!" Both "View" producer Bill Geddie and Walters tried to calm O’Donnell. Walters told her, "I did everything I could to squash the story" – prompting Rosie to scream, "You didn’t call me for 10 goddamn days, and you didn’t tell me what you were going to say on television!" O’Donnell is fuming because Trump went on Larry King two weeks ago – after she had called Trump a "snake-oil salesman" – and said Walters told him she regretted hiring O’Donnell. Trump also blasted the comic as "a horrible human being and a loser." During her vacation, Walters issued a carefully worded statement saying, "I’m sorry there is friction between Donald and Rosie. That said, I do not regret for one moment my choice to hire Rosie O’Donnell as the moderator of ‘The View.’ " After O’Donnell’s outburst at Walters yesterday, Geddie jumped in and told her, "You’ve crossed the line." O’Donnell retorted, "Cameras are now outside of my house where my wife and kids are." She turned to Walters and said, "You went all around this and never called [Trump] a liar. You never said, ‘Donald is lying.’ You never called him a liar." When Walters tried to defend herself, O’Donnell erupted, "Are you looking me in the face and denying you didn’t tell him you didn’t say this? You’re a [bleeping] liar." Cindi Berger, a rep for both Walters and O’Donnell said, "Whatever happened in the hair and makeup room was hardly a squabble. It’s business as usual, everyone has moved on."

This feud is so last year, can’t all the parties leave it there.

Barbara Walters gives her View on Rosie vs The Trump
December 22nd, 2006 under The View. [ Comments: none ]

Barbara Walters, the creator of ABC’s "The View," commented on the ongoing feud between her co-host Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump. In a statement given to The ShowBuzz Thursday, Walters said: "Donald Trump is a personal friend of mine and has been a good friend to ‘The View’ for many years. I’m sorry there is friction between Donald and Rosie. That said, I do not regret for one moment my choice to hire Rosie O’Donnell as the moderator of ‘The View’. I certainly hope and expect that this tempest will pass quickly." After Thursday’s "View," Trump phoned into "Good Day LA" and said: "Let me tell you something, Barbara Walters is a good friend of mine, she cannot stand Rosie O’Donnell." He added that he doesn’t plan on appearing on the ABC program again. Trump didn’t stop there. He continued to bash O’Donnell on the FOX News Channel and "Larry King Live." He responded to Walter’s statement by saying, "Well, I can tell you for a fact that that’s not what Barbara told me. Barbara is not a fan of Rosie. She’s embarrassed by Rosie. She doesn’t like Rosie. And I guess she can’t say that publicly. But trust me, Larry, that’s what she told me over the phone." Walters, who did not appear on Thursday’s show, is out of the country according to a rep.

Update – Rosie vs The Donald
December 21st, 2006 under The View. [ Comments: none ]

This is celebrity mudslinging at its finest! Donald Trump continued his vicious attack on Rosie O’Donnell on Thursday by calling into local morning show "Good Day L.A.," and proclaiming that Barbara Walters hates Rosie as much as he does! The Donald fired off a litany of insults, personally attacking the "View" co-host by calling her a "bully," "a loser," "stupid," and even compared her to a "clam." Some of the Trump lowlights were: Regarding "The View’s" surge in ratings this year: "I bring it up because they talk about me. Ultimately, that show will fail because of Rosie," adding, "Barbara (Walters) made a mistake. She cannot stand Rosie O’Donnell." On Rosie’s intelligence: "She’s not very smart. I think Rosie is stupid." On Rosie’s appearance: "If you can look as ugly as she looks … I give her credit for having succeeding moderately." On, er, well, you figure it out: "She was like a little clam. A disgusting thought isn’t it, when you compare Rosie to a clam?" This is war!

Round one: Rosie vs The Donald
December 20th, 2006 under The View. [ Comments: none ]

Rosie O’Donnell had some fiery words for Donald Trump on The View Wednesday morning, calling him a "snake-oil salesman" following his announcement that he would not fire troubled Miss USA Tara Conner. After hearing about her comments, Trump fired back to PEOPLE, calling her "a woman out of control" and saying he planned to sue O’Donnell over her statements questioning his financial well-being. "You can’t make false statements," Trump tells PEOPLE exclusively. "Rosie will rue the words she said. I’ll most likely sue her for making those false statements – and it’ll be fun. Rosie’s a loser. A real loser. I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie." The battle began on Wednesday’s show, when a peeved O’Donnell said: "(He) left the first wife – had an affair. (He) had kids both times, but he’s the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America. Donald, sit and spin, my friend." O’Donnell, who impersonated Trump by deepening her voice and flipping her hair to one side, aimed her criticism at his comment from the Tuesday press conference that, "I’ve always been a believer in second chances. Tara is good person. Tara has tried hard. Tara is going to be given a second chance." Conner, who just turned 21, will go to rehab but keep her crown, following reports of alleged drug and alcohol abuse. A grateful Conner apologized for her behavior at the press conference, and she thanked Trump for his compassion. But O’Donnell was not as touched. After repeatedly saying she "didn’t enjoy him," Rosie discussed Trump’s finances – saying he went bankrupt, which Trump denies – and likened him to the "snake-oil salesman on Little House On The Prairie. This is not a self-made man," O’Donnell said. And while O’Donnell and her View co-hosts discussed Conner’s alleged drug and alcohol abuse, Rosie was dismissive, saying, "She went out and she was partying – doing what Paris and Lindsay do." She also turned her wrath toward the Miss USA organization itself. "Miss America is the prestige," she said. "Miss USA is a different thing. It’s basically a model competition. Let’s be realistic." Trump’s response? "She talked about the Miss USA contest, which has terrific ratings on NBC. Miss America got thrown off of network television! It’s (on cable), where nobody watches it," he said, countering her statements. "And my father never gave me tons of money." He also thinks Rosie’s rant against him was personal. Trump says he once sarcastically chastised Rosie about her "failed magazine" and "failed talk show." Added The Donald: "I think she’s just terrible." For her part, O’Donnell seemed to realize she was in for a fight after she criticized Trump, adding: "Here comes the lawsuit. Get ready. This is going to be good."

People

This is going to get good because you know she is not going to give up and neither is he! And then they will kiss and make up just in time for him to guest on The View to promote the Apprentice!
