The Simpsons is still hysterical after all of these years!!!
September 23rd, 2007 under The Simpsons. [ Comments: none ]

The Simpsons is back for its 19th season tonight at 8p on Fox and it didn't let a little thing like having one of the top grossing movies of the year stop them from still being hysterical on the little screen.
In tonight's episode Homer gets the taste of the good life on a private jet after he saves Mr. Burns and once he has the taste he will do anything stay off the ground and up in the skies. Will he be able to do it or will Homer fail at something else again? Stephen Colbert plays his motivator that encourages him to get right back on the plane and wait until you see  how Lionel Richie fits into it all!
The Simpsons might be 19 years old, but its humor is still as fresh as it was as when it first premiered all those years ago!!!
BTW The Simpsons have a new soundtrack from the show called Testify that came out on Tuesday. Once you put it in it will remind you of some of the great songs from seasons 10-18!!!

The Simpsons are coming to the big screen on July 27th!!!
July 5th, 2007 under The Simpsons. [ Comments: none ]

OMG! I so love that trailer and can’t wait to see The Simpsons when it comes out on the 27th!
And BTW I didn’t tell you I actually went to the Kwik-E-Mart here in Burbank and it was so bloody cool! I waited 15 minutes to get in to a 7-Eleven in 93 degree heat and then another 15 minutes to get a Pomegranate Squishee (which I don’t recommend) and 15 seconds to get a pink donut and it was so worth it! They really did a great job on the outside of the place making it look like a Kwik-E-Mart and even had an Apu Wannabe who said “Thank you come again!” as you left! Sadly though because I went on the second day a lot of the stuff was already sold out, but I can tell you the donut was almost worth not being able to get the other stuff. That donut was so good and I am not the biggest donut fan!!! So morale of the story is if you live by one of the converted 7-Elevens make sure you make an effort to go because it is so worth it! I will be going back again even though there is one 7-Eleven that is closer to where I live!
On a side note I find it interesting that Fox placed the two Kwik-E-Marts in LA in areas by the other studios and not in one by them. The Burbank one is close to Disney, Warner Bros and NBC while the Culver City one is by Sony…just a thing that made go hmmmm?
UPDATE: Orphan Annie was kind of enough to send her pictures of the Kwik-E-Mart in Culver City, Ca.

Thanks Orphan Annie!!!

The Simpsons converting 7-Elevens to Kwik-E-Marts!!!
July 2nd, 2007 under The Simpsons. [ Comments: none ]

In preparation for the release of The Simpsons movie on July 28th, 12 US 7-Elevens are converting into Kwik-E-Marts and all of them will be selling Kwik-E-Mart foods like Squishees according to Convenience Store News. One of the 7-Elevens is by me, so I am going to go and have a Squishee!!! I haven't been this excited to go to a mini-mart since I went to a Circle-K! (If you don't get the reference to that, please don't tell me because it will be too much for me to handle.
Here is what the 7-Elevens Kwik-E-Marts will be carrying:
 — KrustyO's cereal – a bright-red cereal box shows Krusty the Clown enjoying a bowlful; inside, a cereal created by Malt-O-Meal can be found. The boxes were flying off the shelves in New York, where CSNews Online overheard a store employee telling a customer that they would have to check back tomorrow, because the 50 cases the Times Square located store had were already sold out.

— Buzz Cola – packaged in a red and yellow can, individual cans or six packs were stocked on shelves and in the cooler. Buzz Cola was distributed by 7-Eleven, according to the can.

— "Radioactive Man" comic books – Bart Simpson's favorite superhero is featured in a 32-page comic book produced by Bongo Entertainment Group exclusively for 7-Eleven. Numbered 711, the plastic-wrapped comic book has a suggested retail price of $3.99.

— Squishees – 7-Eleven's proprietary Slurpee was also reimaged for the movie. At the New York location, customers were crowded around the machines, waiting to dispense the carbonated drinks into 22-ounce paper cups bearing the official Squishee logo.

In addition, five collectible, plastic Slurpee movie cups with scenes from "The Simpsons Movie" along with six straws featuring removable Simpson character magnets are available at stores. In New York, the magnetized straws were sold out before CSNews Online arrived.

In addition, a pink-frosted doughnut with sprinkles that can be seen in the movie's poster, is available exclusively at 7-Eleven stores. However, unlike the television show's Kwik-E-Mart, the Sprinklicious doughnuts at 7-Eleven are made fresh and delivered daily to the stores, the company stated.

In all, the convenience store chain will carry more than 25 items that are either recreations of products from the actual show or collectibles, including a dancing Homer doll, talking key chains, T-shirts and hats.

Thanks Rusty!
