This is not a good day to be a member of the British Royal Family. First, we found out that Prince Kate underwent surgery for a planned abdominal procedure. Then, shortly after that, we learned her father-in-law, King Charles, also needs a procedure.
“In common with thousands of men each year, The King has sought treatment for an enlarged prostate,” Buckingham Palace wrote. “His Majesty’s condition is benign and he will attend hospital next week for a corrective procedure. The King’s public engagements will be postponed for a short period of recuperation.”
This is a very common procedure. Hopefully, it will go well and won’t get fucked up like my dad’s did. But then again, my dad was only a King in my eyes. So I am sure King Charles’ will go much better.
And when it was done, the King won’t have to pee as much!
Kensington Palace announced today that Kate Middleton was admitted to the hospital for a planned surgery, and will be there for a while.
They wrote in a statement, “Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to hospital yesterday for planned abdominal surgery. The surgery was successful and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”
The palace asked for privacy during this time and will not reveal what the surgery was for. However, they will release updates as warranted.
The Princess would like things to remain as normal as possible for her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, as she recovers from the surgery. Her husband, Prince William, will remain by her side for the foreseeable future and has also cancelled his planned engagements.
Hopefully, she will be better soon. And she will be able to enjoy an egg hunt with her children.
It is Christmastime, so that means it is time for Christmas cards.
Over the weekend, King Charles and Queen Camilla shared theirs, and I doubt the peasants of the United Kingdom can relate to them.
The photo was taken in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace on Coronation Day by Hugo Burnand, and they wore their crowns and robes with trains longer than they are tall.
I get that he waited over 70 years to be King. But rubbing his enormous wealth in our faces does not make us like him. And with everything going on with Prince Harry, he needs us to like him, really, really like him.
While he is clueless about what the commoners want, his eldest son gets it. To see Prince William, Princess Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Loius’ Christmas card, then click here!
Netflix released the trailer for the first part of The Crown’s final season. And it is Princess Diana heavy. Because just like the world when she was alive, we can never get enough of her.
These first four episodes depict a relationship blossoming between Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed before a fateful car journey has devastating consequences.
In their first Summer as a divorced couple, Prince Charles and Princess Diana share very different holidays with their sons.
Diana is being courted by the Fayeds in the South of France, giving the young Princes a taste of luxury yachts, video games and movie nights. Charles is sticking to tradition in Balmoral. The comparisons play out in the press, fuelled by a fervent paparazzi, and some of the Royal press team.
As yacht life and the constant media scrutiny lose their appeal, Diana longs to return to see her boys, who are back in Balmoral. A diversion to Paris sees matters come to a head – against the backdrop of an intensified and aggressive media pursuit.
After the news breaks of Diana and Dodi’s fatal car accident, a vast outpouring of public grief catches the Queen off-guard. With shockwaves resonating through the Palace, Al Fayed is also processing the loss of his cherished son. Hoping that the news will bring him and the Royal Family together in shared grief; he instead finds himself increasingly shunned.
Diana’s, I mean The Crown season 6 first episodes, will stream on November 16th.
