Meghan Markle went to Mayhew, an animal welfare charity, today and she met Peggy McEachrom. When the spunky care home resident met the Duchess of Sussex, she said, “You’re a fat lady.” The 6-month pregnant lady said, “I’ll take it.” Good thing she did because, in the olden days, some of the other duchesses would have had her imprisoned on the spot.
How much do you want to bet that was probably the first time anyone called the Suits’ star fat.
Kensington Palace released the Christmas photo of Prince Charles, Kate Middleton and their three children Prince George, Prince Charlotte and Prince Louis and it is perfect. Mostly because it is the most relaxed we have ever seen the Cambridges. That and it is nice to see kids out of their school attire and in jeans. It makes them look like every family Christmas card and not one of royalty. I like it, don’t you?
"You are the salt of the earth – honest, hardworking and as tough as they come.
And that resilience, sense of humour and commitment to the land are the qualities that make you unique. You are the backbone of this country." — The Duke of Sussex, in Dubbo #RoyalVisitAustraliapic.twitter.com/LVXnz0m0bj
On Monday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they are expecting their first child in the spring. The couple was already in Australia when the news broke.
Today the newlyweds visited Dubbo, a town that is experiencing a drought. As soon as they got there, the couple was greeted by a rare downpour according to The Sydney Morning Herald. Is it just a coincidence or did the Royal Baby do it? I am choosing the latter because I think we all need something positive to believe in these days.
Another thing I love about their trip to land down under getting some thunder, is that the Duchess of Sussex actually held an umbrella over her husband’s head. Not security, but his wife. More leaders need to be like this couple and be reminded no one is too good to hold their own umbrella.
Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, says he and Duchess Meghan "genuinely couldn't think of a better place to announce the upcoming baby, be it a boy or a girl," on the first day of the couple's 16-day tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand. https://t.co/m1CblP5KDTpic.twitter.com/4FhIgVmufn
Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, announced yesterday that they are expecting their first baby together and today he made a quick reference about it in Australia. They are in the middle of a 16-day trip in the commonwealth.
As he told the crowd that he could not think of “a better place to announce the upcoming baby, be it a boy or a girl,” his whole face lit up. You can tell he cannot wait to finally be a father. What a great one he is going to be.
I betcha that beautiful baby is going to inspire the world like no royal ever has. It is part Princess Diana and she was such a shining light in the monarchy. Markle also has that activism gene about her and that baby is going to inherit all of that. Plus, it is also his child and he wants to do more with his title than just be a spoiled Prince. I cannot wait to see how this baby changes the world. Along with his cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. I think they will be a generation of change like their fathers.
UPDATE: When Prince Charles was asked if he toasted the news that he is going to be a grandfather again, he said, “Oh, yes! Several times!” I don’t know why, but that answer just made me smile! Maybe because we actually get to see him have an honest smile. He needs to smile more, don’t you agree?

Just when you think we are immune to good news, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle find a way to share some with us again. Kensington Palace and The Royal Family announced that the Duchess of Sussex is pregnant with her first child and it is due in the spring. The happy parents-to-be, “have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
Daily Mail’s Rebecca English reports that she has had her 12-week scan and is healthy.
According to Hello’s Emily Nash, they broke the news at Jack Brooksbank and Princess Eugenie’s wedding on Friday. The Royal Family are delighted for the couple. English says that Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland is “very happy at this lovely news and is looking forward to welcoming her first grandchild.” Then she added that the palace had no comment if her father has been told the exciting news.
