Janet Jackson should be experiencing the happiest time of her life as a first time mom to a 3 month old son, but Daily Mail is reporting she split from her husband Wissam Al Mana. No reason was given as why they decided to end their roughly 5 year marriage, but I am sure it will not end peacefully.
Al Mana is Qatari businessman worth around $1 billion and she is worth substantially less. The youngest Jackson also converted to Islam for her husband, so it will be interesting to see if she will remain with the religion. Plus, we don’t know who will get custody of Eissa. Since it is her first child and she had him 50, I am sure she will fight for full custody of him. But you never know.
Just think a year ago, she announced that she was her postponing her Unbreakable tour to focus on having a baby. A year later, we are waiting for her to announce that she split from her baby daddy. Proving a lot can happen in 365 days and that Unbreakable was just a name for her tour not referring to her marriage.
Back in April, Janet Jackson announced that she was postponing her tour because she was “planning her family.” Now, almost 9 months later, she gave birth to a baby boy. Her rep told People, “Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world. Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably.”
I am kind of sad she didn’t name him Michael, but I am sure there is a lot of Michael in him.
After months of speculation, Janet Jackson finally confirmed that she is pregnant with her first child at 50. She told People, “We thank God for our blessing.”
My theory on why she came forward now is that she gave birth and this will distract people long enough that she can have some alone time with her baby.

The host asked him, “She’s pregnant or she is having a baby?” To which Tito Jackson responded, “A little bit of both.” Then he explained, “She’s pregnant right now and she is going to have baby.”

Today we might know what that means because Entertainment Tonight is reporting that she is pregnant with her first child at 49. The singer has yet to confirm the news, but I am wondering if releasing the lyric video for Dammm Baby yesterday was her way of breaking the news. She seems to use social media to let us know what is going on with her life, so maybe that is her way of doing it.
Hopefully she is having a bundle of joy because this would be a wonderful Mother’s Day and Birthday present for the singer who has brought us so much joy.
