The real JTP (JTP) visited The Goldbergs set! |

As we know The Goldbergs is based on real life characters from Adam F Goldberg’s life. We have seen them in his home videos and photographs that are included in every episode. While that is the past, it is rare that we see them today. Although recently, we saw the actual Goldbergs at a baseball game in Philadelphia, but what about their friends like JTP (JTP)? Well, they are all in Los Angeles as you read this and Wendi McLendon-Covey posed for this photo with them. Now, which one is Barry Goldberg, Andy Cogan, Madman Schwartz and Naked Rob, I do not know. But I do not care because it is always like totally rad to see the real Golbergs in 2017 and not ’80something.
BTW in case you think that Adam is exaggerating about his sMother Beverly Goldberg, here is what she Tweeted yesterday, “So Barry flew out to LA today along with all the JTP for special get together with the Eagles I’m excited for him but guess what he didn’t call me when he got there what’s up Barry I’m waiting for the call.” I so love her! Who wouldn’t want her as their mom?
One last thing, none of the members of the Jenkintown Posse ever dated Erica because in real life she is a Eric.

Looks like The Goldbergs are going to do We Didn’t Start the Fire! |
November 1st, 2017 under Billy Joel, The Goldbergs. [ Comments: none ]

The Goldberg’s creator Adam F Goldberg Tweeted the above photo and said, “Guess what I’m doing an episode about???” If you look at the first few postcards on the board, you can see they correspond with the first line of lyrics (Harry Truman, Doris Day, Red China, Johnnie Ray) to Billy Joel’s We Didn’t Start Fire. Therefore, we can pretty much assume that he is doing an episode about the song that covers 40 (1949-1989) years of history.
Now that we know that this is coming up, I cannot wait to see what they do with it. It is probably going to be brilliant, sweet and hysterical like all of the other episodes from the hit sitcom. On that note, while CBS and NBC are airing repeats against the World Series game (go Dodgers), ABC is not. Thus, you don’t want to miss tonight’s The Goldbergs at 8p.

Only on a studio lot can you walk around in your undies without strange stares |

Tonight at 8p on ABC, The Goldbergs airs its 100th episode. Ever since episode 1, we have seen Jeff Garlin in his underwear. Which is probably why no one gave him a second look when he was walking around Sony Studio in just a T-Shirt, his tighty whities and black socks. Although, since it is around 100 degrees here in LA today, you might say he is overdressed.
When it comes to The Goldbergs, I am so happy it made it to 100 episodes because I have loved this family sitcom since I first saw the pilot. I knew it was going to be a hit even though the critics didn’t see what I saw in it. Eventually they came around and now it has become ABC’s second biggest sitcom. That and it is a huge fan favorite, whether you were alive in ’80something or not.
Thank you Adam F Goldberg for sharing your scrumptious family with us!

Wendi McLendon-Covey actually had her Goldbergs’ hair back in the ’80s |

Wendi McLendon-Covey plays Beverly Goldberg on The Goldbergs, a show that takes place in ’80something. That means, she needs to have her hair feathered with a lot of hairspray just like they did during the “Me” decade.
While the actress wears a wig for the sitcom, back when she was living in that era, she actually had the same hairdo. She recently shared a photo of herself from the ’80s and I knew it was her because she looks exactly like she does now on the scrumptious sitcom. Not in the face, but in the hair. Proving you can back to your past, or at least your hair can. Although, I am not sure how many people would really want to recapture the Farrah? Do you?
Tune into ABC tonight at 8p, to see McLendon-Covey with the same hairdo now that she had 30 years ago.

The fake Barry Goldberg with the real Goldbergs! |

The creator of The Goldbergs was born and raised in Philadelphia and on Friday the City of Brotherly Love honored Adam F Goldberg and his family whom we have fallen in love over the last 4 seasons. To cap off the night the youngest member of the family, his mom, Beverly, and his older brothers, Eric (yes Erica is really a boy) and Barry, were invited to watch the Phillies game. Not only that the real Barry, got to throw out the first pitch as the TV version of him aka Troy Gentile watched him do it.
If you are going to have all the real Goldbergs together at a public event with one of the television versions of them, then you are going to have to pose for some photos. So in the first photo you have Adam (black shirt) next to Barry (blue shirt), then Beverly, a mystery kid, Eric (orange shirt) and finally Troy. While in the second one the real life sMother was smothered with several look alikes. Too bad Wendi McLendon-Covey was not there as one of the impersonators because that would have been a nice yummy surprise.
Anyways, how awesome is it to finally see what the real Goldbergs look like now? We have seen them in ’80something, but not today. They did a great job casting people who look like the person they are playing. Well Eric is a lot more masculine looking than Erica, as he should be!
The Golbergs is back with all new episodes starting next Wednesday at 8p. I do not know about you, but I cannot wait to see what they are up to this season. Here is a little spoiler, Back to the Future’s Lea Thompson is getting her ’80s back on to direct an episode this season.
