That ’90s Show won’t see the ’00s
October 3rd, 2024 under That '70s Show. [ Comments: none ]

That ’90s Show was a sweet sitcom that was just as funny as the original show. However, not enough people were watching the That ’70s Show sequel. So today, Netflix opted not to renew it for a third season.

After the cancellation, Kurtwood Smith wrote, “I just want to take a minute to say THANK YOU to all of the fans everywhere who supported and watched the show. You have come up to me in random parts of the world when I’m traveling and reached out to me through social media and just been so wonderful. I’ve loved every minute of getting to bring Grandpa Red to life for you all.

“I’ve said it before but it’s worth mentioning again…this show had so much heart behind it and the most wonderful cast, writers, directors, producers and crew an actor could hope to work with. Thanks for letting Red and Kitty, their grandkid, all their grandkids friends and neighbors, the original cast members of That 70’s Show and all of our wonderful guest cast members entertain you for two seasons. To steal Red Forman’s words…we aren’t going to be dumbasses…we will shop the show, because good grandparents would try hard to get these kids graduated from high school. #That90sShow #bestfansever ”

I hope that someone else picks it up for another season, but I think we have seen the last of the Formans, for now!

The third part of That ’90s Show looks charming
August 15th, 2024 under That '70s Show. [ Comments: none ]

Netflix knew they had something good when they picked up the sequel to That ’70s Show to series. Therefore, they split the That ’90s Show into three parts.

We would’ve gotten parts two and three earlier, but the strikes delayed filming of these episodes. After watching the trailer, I am reminded of that saying, “Good things come to those who wait.”

It’s 1996 and Leia Forman is back in Point Place for another summer of fun with her friends and grandparents, Kitty and Red. Part 3 picks up right back in the Forman kitchen – where Red and Kitty return from Paris to find a giant hole in the wall. And this isn’t even the biggest crisis Leia has to face. New relationships are formed, old ones move to the next level. Friendships are tested and just when things seem to be working out, a blast from the past returns to blow it all up again. With Summer break winding down, the gang has to come to terms with Leia leaving them again, but this time she’s not going without a fight.

That ’90s Show is the rare sequel that is as good as the show it came from. Therefore, I can’t wait to see the final eight episodes of this season on August 22nd. I really hope that they are not the final episodes of the series.

That ’90s Show gave us all-new episodes in June and told us to wait four months to see the final part of the first season. And they realized that was a dumb ass move.

So, they moved up the premiere date from October 24th to August 22nd.

It’s 1996 and Leia Forman is back in Point Place for another summer of fun with her friends and grandparents, Kitty and Red. Leia and Jay are excited to be together again after nine months of long distance. But she’s on edge since Jay still doesn’t know she almost kissed Nate. Nate is concerned that his girlfriend, Nikki, doesn’t know either. How long can they keep this secret? Turns out, not long at all. And when the truth finally comes out, relationships are threatened, friendships are at stake, and the summer is on the verge of ending before it even gets started.

I can’t wait to see what happens next because the sequel has been as much fun as the original.

That ’90s Show is the rare sequel series that is as good as the original. Therefore, I have been waiting to watch more episodes. This weekend, Netflix announced that Formans will be back on June 27th and then on October 24th.

“It’s 1996 and Leia Forman is back in Point Place for another summer of fun with her friends and grandparents, Kitty and Red. Leia and Jay are excited to be together again after nine months of long distance. But she’s on edge since Jay still doesn’t know she almost kissed Nate. And when the truth finally comes out, relationships are threatened, friendships are at stake, and the summer is on the verge of ending before it even gets started.”

Don Stark and Laura Prepon are the OGs to guest star this season. But they are not the only guest appearances we can expect to see. They will be joined by Tommy Chong, Andrea Anders, Will Forte, Seth Green, Lisa Loeb, Carmen Electra, Kevin Smith, Jason Meyes, Wayne Knight, Kadeem Hardison, and Matt Rife.

Are you excited to travel back to Wisconsin?

How well do the kids from That ’90s Show know the ’90s?
February 7th, 2023 under That '70s Show. [ Comments: none ]

That ’90s Show was filmed in the 2020s, and the actors who play the teens on the Netflix sitcom weren’t even things their parents were thinking about back then.

So how well do Callie Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Donovan, Reyn Doi, and Sam Morelos know the decade that they are pretending they were alive in? Better than me, and I was around back then. But at least I knew the answers they didn’t.

Now that we know that they know the ’90s. I want to see how well the actors from That’s ’70s Show know the ’70s.

Back to the sequel. If you haven’t seen it, then you should binge it this weekend. You won’t even need any pot to giggle your way through it.
