Get your game on with the Spike TV’s VGAs tonight at 8p!
December 12th, 2009 under Spike TV. [ Comments: none ]

Hey all you gamers put your games on pause at 8p and tune into Spike TV for the Video Game Awards to find out what were the best games of 2009 and get a preview of what you will be playing 2010!!!
Tonight on the VGA 09 not only will they be handing out awards to best games of 2009 in all types of categories from best game to best music game (that will be presented by Stevie Wonder), they will also be premiering 3 of the hottest games of 2010 like Halo: Reach, Tron and the next Star Wars Games. Plus they will be premiering never before scenes from 3 upcoming movies in 2010 like Prince of Persia, Medal of Honor and Crackdown 2.
Not a gamer tnan there are some pretty cool celebrity gamers who be there to present the awards like the Jersey Shore kids, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Jenni “J-Woww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Pauly Delvecchio, and people not from the Jersey Shore Jake Gyllenhaal, Olivia Wilde, Jack Black, Forrest Griffin, Mark Hamill, Tony Hawk, Samuel L. Jackson, Mike Tyson, Alyssa Milano, Zachary Quinto, Luc Robitaille, Stephen A. Smith, Tricia Helfer, Jason Hall, Joseph Kosinski, Sean Bailey, Felicia Day, Kimbo Slice. BTW did I mention that kids from Jersey Shore are going to be there and they are as a good as a game that you can’t stop playing. Plus Snoop Dogg and The Bravery are performing.
So whether you are gamer or not Spike TV’s VGA 09 has something for everyone to enjoy so check it out at 8p! And let’s be real Spike TV really knows how to put on an awards show, so much so I wish they would take over the Oscars.
BTW did I mention that Spike VGA 09 is live so that means that anything can happen…and it will probable will!!!

UPDATE: Below are the winners of the biggest awards show of its kind and what an awards show it was. Spike knows how to throw and an awards show better than any other network and the VGA 09 didn’t disappoint. What I also love about Spike and why I think they get the huge names to present at their shows is that they honor things we care about that no one else does. Whether it is best horror or Sci Fi movie or TB show or best game, Spike honors what the average person cares about instead of artsy fartsy movies most people will never see!!!
Before yesterday’s VGA 09 I have to admit I left gaming to my friends, but I have totally changed my opinion. All the game creators there were so cool and down to earth and made gaming sound cool that over the week I will be posting the interviews I did with.
Now when it comes to Spike on January 12th they will be debuting Blue Mountain State and I can’t wait for this show that is so going to be touchdown!!! C’mon you gotta love a show where the mascot is a goat!!!

Super Dave is Spike-tacular!!!
November 17th, 2009 under Spike TV. [ Comments: none ]

Super Dave is back on TV for at least four hysterical episodes and he is better than ever. Super Dave’s Spike-tacular premieres at its regularly scheduled time slot tonight on Spike at 9p and you are so going to watch this show. Everyone loves to laugh and that is exactly what this show does!!!
Super Dave is a great stuntman, but no matter how many stunts he does something always goes wrong and you will love that it does. For example during his first series on TV he was on the top of a bus playing a piano when Fuji drove the bus under a tunnel and let’s just say the bus just cleared it but Super Dave Osborne didn’t. I don’t want to spoil the stunts that go wrong on Super Dave’s Spike-tacular because the best thing about the show. You know it is going to happen…you just don’t know how. That is something that Bob Einstein, who plays Super Dave, told me he has to be several steps ahead of when he writes it. I am pretty good at predicting things (I knew the ending of The Sixth Sense at the beginning) and yet I have never predicted how Super Dave is going to get it. And it is not knowing what is going to happen and knowing something will that makes the show even more hilarious.
Just like the original show each week Super Dave will do a different stunt, but there have been some changes to the show. Because the show is on Spike, that means he needs beautiful women in bikinis cause that is what their viewers want to see. He also added a Joke of the Week with a choir that sings the anthem into the joke he doesn’t want to do, And even though he doesn’t want to do it, you will find yourself telling that joke over and over again, I know I have been telling the joke in tonight’s episode to all of my friends! There is also a new Fuji and I like this one better. He plays the role ever straighter than the original and you believe that he doesn’t know what is going to happen.
There are also going to be plenty of guest stars coming up including Kevin Nealon, Larry David, Carrot Top, Jimmy Kimmel, Rampage Jackson and Jose Canseco. Bob Einstein told me you will not believe what he got Jose to do, but you will have to wait until the last episode to find out. I say the last episode, but Bob Einstein told me he would do more and Spike and him have been talking about doing more. So please watch because I want more than four!!!
When I asked Bob Einstein what he wanted to let y’all know about Super Dave’s Spike-tacular he told me to tell you, “I just want to say to watch it and love it and enjoy it. I just think it is something that will let you escape and I don’t think there is too much on TV that’s let you do that now.” There really isn’t and you are totally going to want to experience this show tonight and every Tuesday at 9p for a show that will have you laughing out loud!!! And we all need to laugh!!!

Bob Einstein talks about Super Dave’s Spike-tacular
November 13th, 2009 under Spike TV. [ Comments: 1 ]

Back when I was kid my dad raised me on Super Dave, so when I read that Bob Einstein was going to bring back Super Dave for Spike TV I got Super excited. I spoke to the stunt master on why he brought the show back now and what we can expect from the 4 special episodes of Super Dave’s Spike-tacular that premieres tomorrow on Spike TV at 11p before moving to its regularly scheduled timeslot of Tuesdays at 9p!
Are you new to brilliance of Super Dave? Well Super Dave is a stunt man who attempts stunts that no one else would ever do for obvious reasons. No matter what he tries to do, it always goes horribly wrong and you will never guess just how wrong it is going to go. But you will find yourself laughing out loud and sharing how bad it all went down with everyone you know. And thanks to Tivos and DVRs, we can re-watch it again after the stunt fails to see just how it all went so horribly wrong!
So what made him decide to bring back Super Dave now after almost a decade? Well about 9 months ago Bob Einstein got a phone call from Spike TV’s President Kevin Kay, saying he wanted to resurrect Super Dave and because he is a fan of Spike TV he agreed to do it. Kay told him he could do whatever he wanted and believe me he took advantage of it! Because this is Super Dave at his best. Bob told me the big difference about doing the show now as compared to when he did it 20 years ago on Showtime is the advancement of special effects and CGI. It really makes a difference and let’s Super Dave Osbourne do stunts he only dreamed of before. Well at least attempting to complete them, but you have to watch the show to understand what I mean by that!
Super Dave’s Spike-tacular is not like anything that is on TV today. He told me, “There is no show on television like it. You know, you are going to laugh. Selling out with the girls and the joke of the week. I’ll do anything for money.” Because it is a new millennium he has changed things up for the show. Guys want to see pretty girls, so whenever he is talking to head of the network, he will be talking to stacked girls in a bikini who sound like the guy. He also added a sponsored joke of the week, and as much as he doesn’t want to do it, you will be grateful that he did because the joke is freaking funny. But the biggest change is since he did the show, reality television has become popular. Because of its popularity he added that element to the show, but it will still be like the original one is some ways as he explained to me, “It is a big ending each week and then you see me prepare with the bullsh!t reality. I go crazy with the camera people and everything else. I get tired of the reality.” Did I not mention he is not a fan of reality TV? He told me because he doesn’t like reality TV, he enjoyed poking fun of it.
Back to what makes Super Dave so hilarious is that he will attempt stunts that always go so horribly wrong and you will never be able to predict how. So I had to ask him about that and he said, “I always worried that people were sitting at home trying to predict what was going to happen. So I would do an idea then I would have to take it 6 steps beyond. Then I was with a friend of mine one night and he said, ‘You know, a bunch of us sit around the television trying to predict what’s happening, so it was a nightmare.’ Today I had to take it seven steps back. But you don’t know and on the show, I’m the only that doesn’t know anything is going to happen. I think this week everything is fine.” It is the way that Bob Einstein plays out the stunt that makes the unpredictability and the outcome just that much more funny. And believe me you really will be laughing out throughout the whole half hour.
When I asked him what he wanted to tell you guys about the show he said, “I just want to say to watch it and love it and enjoy it. I just think it is something that will let you escape and I don’t think there is too much on TV that’s let you do that now.” You will totally have that escapist show that no matter how bad things seemed that day they will be eased by laughing with Super Dave! So make sure to check him out on Saturday, November 14th at 11p on Spike TV and then every Tuesday at 9p!!! I promise you will be in hysterics. BTW did I mention they are giving away a $1 million every week? Just an added bonus to why you must must must watch this show!
