His agent, Sandy Bresler, said: "I do not comment on Jack’s personal life." No word on whether Nicholson, 69, will be able to promote "The Departed," the Martin Scorsese mob movie bowing Oct. 6, or whether his health will affect "The Bucket List," due to start filming next month.

According to police, comedienne Ellen DeGeneres was in a car accident Friday afternoon, when her stopped car was reportedly hit from behind by a car that was itself struck by an alleged drunk driver.According to LAPD Spokesperson Jason Lee, DeGeneres and a passenger that appears to be her girlfriend, actress Portia de Rossi, were stopped at a red light at the corner of Sunset & Laurel heading east on Sunset in a 2006 Porsche Carrera. A 2002 Buick LeSabre was stopped behind them. The Buick was struck by a third car, a 2002 Porsche Carrera, driven by an alleged drunk driver identified as a 52-year-old woman.The stopped Buick was then allegedly pushed from behind into Ms. DeGeneres’ car, moderately damaging the back of her Porsche.The alleged drunk driver was arrested and charged with a DUI.Both Ms. DeGeneres and her passenger complained of pain to their backs and necks. Afetr the show on August 29 in Brooklyn, the band’s trailer was broken into, and lots of gear was stolen – guitars, basses, cymbals, effects pedals, etc. Please keep your eyes out for any of this missing gear in music shops, pawn shops or anywhere for that matter. Matthew Broderick suffered a broken collar bone after falling off a horse. The mishap occurred Sunday while the "Ferris Bueller" star was horseback riding at his holiday home in the UK. Broderick was treated at Sligo General Hospital Monday, accompanied by his wife, Sarah Jessica Parker. Broderick was treated and released. The actor’s publicist told TMZ "Matthew is in a little pain but is fine."

Ringo Starr’s wife is spending her 60th birthday in hospital after her horse kicked her and broke her leg.Barbara Bach, a former Bond girl, was admitted under her married name, Starkey to the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford on Sunday morning.A spokesman for the hospital said she had a fracture in her right leg following the riding accident near the couple’s home in Cranleigh, Surrey.Her husband has been by her bedside in the hospital. The spokesman added that the operation, which was carried out on Sunday afternoon, "went very well".He said: "She had a stable and peaceful night and everything is going well with her recovery."Her condition will be assessed today but I don’t think she will be discharged."
