Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! they debuted the promo for Stage Dad: The Jeff Archuletta Story and I think that Scott Baio is going to win an Emmy for the role. I am so happy that Hallmark Hall of Fame wasted no time in turning around the story of David Archuleta’s dad, Jeff who pleaded no contest to soliciting a prostitute at a massage parlor because I know I can’t wait to see that Movie of the Week!
I like totally love the last line of the ad, “Because some happy endings, don’t have a happy ending.” So wrong, but funny as all heck.
BTW I can’t believe they were able to recreate that GA goatee that Jeff Archuleta has on Scott Baio, and I kind of like it on him.
Today in LA, Scott Baio and his wife Renee’ held a Celebrity Baby Yard Sale for the charity that they started in honor of their awwwwdorable daughter Bailey. Their first event was a huge success and Scott Baio took the time to tell me about the Bailey Baio Angel Foundation! How amazing is it what Renee’ and him are doing because of what they went through and survived? And their little Angel is doing great!
The work that they are doing for getting the word out there about organic acidemia metabolic disorders like GA-1 and the importance of expanded newborn screening and its availability and necessity for every newborn is just so admirable.
At the Yard Sale they had lots of great items for babies and their mothers! There were tons of clothes donated from different stores, The Baios and Larry Birkhead all at reasonable prices. There were also lots of toys, picture frames, a hand-carved highchair and baby must haves that were also donated. In fact I got an awesome purse for cheap! There was also a table of lots of great items that were donated and signed by celebrities like Dennis Quaid’s twins’s toys and more, signed photos from the Gilles Marini, a guitar signed by Toby Keith and his band, an egg that Bailey found at the Easter Playboy Mansion egg hunt that was signed by Hugh Hefner, a signed script from The Closer and so much more that will be going up on eBay. Renee’ will keep me updated when that will happen and I will let you know when you can bid on those items and so much more to help out BBAF!!!
The event was such a blast and so much fun! Here are some photos from the Celebrity Baby Yard Sale.
Scott Baio and his wife Renee’ are holding their first Celebrity Baby Yard Sale tomorrow to raise money for their charity, Bailey Baio Angel Foundation. BBAF was started after their daughter Bailey tested positive for GA-1, but 10 weeks later they found out that it was a false positive. Instead of taking the blessing and moving on, The Baios stated the foundation to raise awareness about organic metabolic disorders and the importance and necessity of expanded newborn screening for all babies. This is such an important cause and we should all support them get the word out.
So if you are in LA, please stop by the Sportsmens Lodge at Coldwater Canyon and Ventura Blvd tomorrow between 8a-4p and buy on some of the awesome items that were donated for their first event. You never know who you might to see? Plus I hear it is going to be a lot of fun and it is for a great cause!!!
Scott Baio took his wife Renee' and their daughters Kalyn and Bailey to the Children's Hospital Los Angeles benefit and how great do they all look. Little Bailey is getting so big and so awwwdorable!
Who ever thought the former-Playboy would settle down, but by the looks of it being married with children is really agreeing with him!!!
Don't forget in less than two weeks on May 30th, The Bailey Baio Angel Foundation is holding their first event the Celebrity Baby Yard Sale at the Sportsmen's Lodge.
When Scott Baio's little daughter Bailey was born she tested positive for GA1, a condition that can lead to neurological problems. Scott and his wife Renee' had to wait 10 weeks to find out the first tests were false positives and their little angel was OK. Instead of moving on, the couple started a foundation named after their daughter called Bailey Baio Angel Foundation. BBAF's mission statement is:
To immediately and effectively heighten awareness on the importance of expanded newborn screening and its availability and necessity for every newborn. To create, promote and facilitate legislation which will mandate expanded newborn screening for all fifty states. To raise funds through promotional activities and sales to support children and families affected with GA1 and other OA’s (organic acidemia metabolic disorders) through the creation of provisional support programs (including food, vitamin and emotional support efforts.)
The amazing foundation is having their first event on May 30th!!! At the event, you can buy the same great baby stuff that the celebs buy for their kids at a much cheaper price and you might be able to own something that a celeb or one of their little darlings wore. Plus it is going to be a star studded event for the reasonable price of a $10 entrance fee! And the best part of it, the money is going to important foundation whose mission needs to be out there! Expanded newborn testing should be a given and not a privilege! So please come out and support the Bailey Baio Angel Foundation on May 30th if you live in the Los Angeles area!!! I will be there. BTW you can follow Renee' and Scott Baio on Twitter at @BBAF!!!
