Town of the Living Dead comes to life tonight
October 7th, 2014 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Imagine taking six years to make a Zombie movie and it still isn’t complete. Then imagine the network that asks you to imagine greater, tells you they will air your movie if you finish it. Plus they offer to do a reality show about your process? Well that is the premise for Syfy’s Town of the Living Dead that premieres tonight at 10p.
Tina Teeter is determined to finish her film, so much so she has even mortgage her house to pay for it. Just because there is money behind the project doesn’t mean things are going to go smoothly. The town council has issues with them because of some of their past work. Although when the producers give them notice, the council is more willing to work with them. Which includes letting them blow up a boat. Something that goes horribly wrong like a lot of other things associated with this project.
So tune and see why this movie has taken six years to make, and looks like it will take another six to complete. This show will definitely make you want to watch movies instead of making them. Therefore, that means that Town of the Living Dead is never boring and fun to watch.

Z Nation gives Zombies a whole new life!
September 12th, 2014 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBMAHsunAUs
If you are like me, then you are getting tired of Zombies and you’re over The Walking Dead. Well tonight at 10p, Syfy makes them exciting again with Z Nation.
It has been three years since the Zombies virus has taken over and humankind is dwindling down to nothing because of it. There is a woman working on a vaccine, and she thinks she might have perfected it. She tests it on several people, and it is starting to look like a failure. Just as she gives one last dose to a human subject, they are taken over by Zombies. Lt Hammond (Harold Perrineau) has their escape plan and puts it in to effect, but when he hears screams coming from the makeshift lab that they just deserted, he goes back to save the subject.
A month goes by and no one has heard anything from Hammond and his team. For weeks, he and the subject, who survived being bit, have walked around trying to get their to rendezvous point. Hammond needs to get him from NY to California so that his antibodies can be used as a vaccine. Which is a daunting task because there is barely any transportation left.
While on their journey, they come across some survivors and they ask them for their help. Since Garnett (Tom Everett Scott) and Warren (Kellita Smith) have no choice but to help them, they agree to do it.
Along their way to the meet up place they find a baby, a rarity in their day and age. They reluctantly take him with them because his mother was killed in a car accident and they can’t leave him. When they get to their destination, they find out that they area has been taken over by Zombies and it is a dead end.
Something happens when they are there that convinces Garnett and Warren to continue on with them and get the cure to California.
How will they travel 3,000 miles without turning into Zombies? We will just have to watch each week to find out.
While their story is on the East Coast (for now), Citizen Z (DJ Qualls) is on the West Coast, and he is the main contact for them. When Z feels all hope is lost, he broadcasts a signal for all survivors to rally with him to end this Zombie crisis. There is no government and communication any more, so he becomes like their leader. Is there anyone out there listening to him? Time will tell.
Z Nation breathes life into a genre that was starting to die out because of overexposure. So if you have been waiting for a Zombie show/movie that would reawaken your love of the walking dead, then this is the show for you. So make sure to tune in tonight and every Friday at 10p to find out what happens next.

Haven’s back and there’s gonna be Troubles
September 11th, 2014 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Haven is back tonight (on its new night) at 8p on Syfy and it picks up where it left off. Everyone who was trapped in the lighthouse has been set free and the Troubles are getting worse.
As bad as every new Trouble is, they are not as bad as Mara (Emily Rose). Audrey is gone, and evil b!tchy Mara is back in her own body. She is looking for a way out of Haven, but every doorway is locked. She will do anything to get her way, and by the end of the episode someone, we love, will be shot and left for dead.
When season 4 left off, I wondered how the show would go on. They have surpassed my expectations and I can’t wait to see what they do next because you know it is going to be good.

Wizards Wars will amaze you!
August 19th, 2014 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Abracadabra there is a new magic competition show on Syfy tonight at 10p called Wizard Wars and you don’t want to miss this show.
Each week, two teams of magicians will be given some common everyday products like Spam and a Super Soaker to use in their act and the winner goes on the next round. During round 2, they get a new set of objects and the unprofessionals will take on the professionals. The winner of that round gets $10,000 and that can buy a lot of rabbits and top hats.
You know, that these magicians are really good if they can shock Penn & Tell, who are judging the competition. So if they were shocked, I was utterly amazed and you will be too.

Sharknado 2: The Second One is better than the first one!!!
July 30th, 2014 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 9p, the much anticipated sequel to Sharknado premieres on Syfy and it actually tops the first one.
It starts out with April (Tara Reid) and Fin (Ian Ziering) on a plane going to NYC when they are attacked by a Sharknado. Eventually Fin safely lands the plane and they travel to Manhattan by ambulance. Once they are in the hospital and April is out of surgery, Fin realizes that a Sharknado is about to munch down on the Big Apple. He calls his sister, who is on Ellis Island with his niece, and tells her to find her way to safety. She tells him that her husband is at the Mets game and he needs to go save them.
So off he goes to fight the sharks at Shea Stadium, and you thought the fans were the ones you needed to be afraid of. (I am Bronx born Mets fan, so I can say that). Once, they strike out the sharks, it is time to get back to Manhattan. But not before they tackle some more sharks on the subway. Once they finally make it back to their destination, they get some help from Taxi driver Judd Hirsch who tries to get them to their where they going. Which is kind of hard because it’s raining sharks.
Now they will do everything to get rid of these flipping sharks with the help from the likes of Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Kelly Ripa, Michael Strahan and whole bunch of other cameos of people who wanted to be part of last year’s biggest phenomenon.
What made Sharknado so perfect is that the movie didn’t take itself seriously. What makes the sequel even better is they somehow found a way to take themselves even less seriously.
So tune into Syfy tonight to watch the movie because you don’t want to be left out of the Sharknado storm of watercooler talk about it at work tomorrow.
There are two drinking games. One for the heavy weights, drink every time you see a shark. The second one if for lighter weights, drink every time you can’t believe they just did that. Both will get you very drunk! Thus the water cooler talk tomorrow.
