Eureka Sci Fi picked up the show for a third season
September 27th, 2007 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Sci Fi announced today that this Tuesday's season finale of Eureka will not be the show's final episode of the series. The quirky brilliant show with smart humor was renewed for a third season and I can't wait to see what else the people of Eureka come with and how Carter has to try to save the town and possibly the world! If you never seen the show catch a marathon of season 2 leading up to the season finale on Sci Fi on Tuesday!!! I promise you will fall in love with this show instantly!
BTW production for the third season begins early next year and will beginning airing next summer!!!

Painkiller Jane is not indestructible
August 15th, 2007 under Syfy. [ Comments: 1 ]

TV Guide is reporting that Sci Fi has decided not to pick up Painkiller Jane for a second season. I have to admit I tried to like this show, but there was just something about it that I was just not able to get into to the show even though I watch it every week. This is the second show (that I watch on Sci Fi) that was given the axe in as many weeks, the other being The Dresden Files.
Painkiller Jane's last episode will air on September 21st.

Sci Fi cancels Dresden Files..:(
August 3rd, 2007 under Syfy. [ Comments: 1 ]

According to Roush Dispatch Sci Fi announced that it will not pick up Dresden files for a second season. This show was a brilliant show, but for some reason it just did not get an audience. As sad as I am about the cancellation, there is some good news that the star Paul Blackthorne is rumored to be joining ABC's Big Shots, one of the more realistic shows coming to TV this fall.

Eureka it’s back tonight on Sci Fi at 9p!!!
July 10th, 2007 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Last summer Eureka became one of my favorite shows of the summer and I am so excited that it is back for a second season tonight on Sci Fi! This is a show is a smart comedy. It is not a show that is too smart and makes you think, but it is dumbed either. It is just that perfect level of smartness and quirkiness! If you have never it is not too late to give it try! You will love the storylines and the acting and the weird invention the town comes up with!!! There is so much chemistry between the cast and I am not talking about the science experiments performed each episode!
So tune in to Eureka tonight at 9p on Sci Fi!

SciFi’s Painkiller Jane kicks a$$
April 13th, 2007 under Reviews, Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

SciFi is premiering a new series tonight at 10P called Painkiller Jane. Well I have seen the first two episodes, and all I can say is the show kicks a$$.
The best way to describe the show it is Claire The Cheerleader from Heroes meets Smallville and Supernatural. What I mean is what will Claire do with her ability to be indestructible when she grows up? Painkiller Jane deals with an indestructible woman, who joins a secret force that seeks out people who have Neuros. Neuros cause them to have special powers like bringing people back from the dead and the power of illusion and they use them to do bad things. That is where the Smallville/Supernatural feel comes in, both shows have the same leads but each week it changes up what they are hunting.
Now I have to admit it took me about 20 minutes to get into the show because I am used to the lighter shows on SciFi like Eureka and The Dresden Files. But as the show went on, I got more and more into it. Actually it when she dies the first time, I realized what makes this show different and good.
Painkiller Jane Vasko is played by Kristinna Loken, who most people know from Terminator 3. I know her from some of her recent stuff like the Razzie nominated BloodRayne and how much she hated her time on The L Word, but watching her on this show it was like watching her for the first time. The cast is mostly unknowns, but you know what it works for the show.
So tune into SCiFi at 10p or set your DVRs to record the show because I promise you, you will be talking about Painkiller Jane for weeks to come!
