I guess Quibi is really mad at us for not subscribing to their quick bite streaming service, so they are getting back at us.

Yesterday, I reported that they are going to stream a star-studded, completely filmed at-home version of The Princess Bride over two weeks starting on June 29th. It sounded really bad on paper, with several different actors playing the same roles. However, as you can see, it is a lot worse in reality.

Maybe if we subscribe to Quibi, they won’t stream it?

Quibi is getting revenge on us for not subscribing

“Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.” Thirteen words we know so well. Thirteen words that are about to be destroyed by Quibi.

They are going to do quick bites of The Princess Bride with different stars reading different parts of the scripts from the movie. According to Variety, starting on June 29th, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, Common and Tiffany Haddish, Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka and Chris Pine and Annabelle Wallis, as well as Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Garner, Elijah Wood, Jon Hamm, Beanie Feldstein, Lucas Hedges, Jenna Ortega, Jack Black, David Oyelowo, Keegan-Michael Key, Patton Oswalt, Josh Gad, Andy Serkis, Diego Luna, Taika Waititi and Zazie Beetz will be acting out different scenes from the beloved film. The actors will trade off roles throughout scenes. Whatever the hell that means.

The movie will play out over two weeks with a new chapter being released every day.

It is not all bad. Fred Savage will once again be reprising his role as the grandson.

Even though they made happen, I say to Quibi, “Hello. My name is a movie fan. You killed The Princess Bride. Prepare to die.”
