Ex-Supernova’s Jenny Galt’s telling interview
July 22nd, 2006 under Rock Star: Supernova. [ Comments: none ]

The Rock Star contestants are giving a big thumbs down to Supernova’s debut single. At least that’s the word from ousted Vancouver singer Jenny Galt. "A lot of people in the group are skeptical about what kind of music they are playing. (Supernova) say they want to do something fresh and new, but then the first track we got to hear, a lot of people were just like, ‘Eww, I’m not sure if I like this,’ " says the 29-year-old Montreal-born pop-rocker. "It sounded just like that same old, boys’ rock ‘n’ roll kind of glam thing they said they weren’t going to be doing. It was a bit surprising."

Galt, who was eliminated from the reality series this week, says the finalists are also questioning Supernova’s commitment to itself. Many feel its members – Tommy Lee (Motley Crue drummer), Jason Newsted (former Metallica bassist) and Gilby Clarke (Gun N’ Roses guitarist) – are not exactly hell-bent on making the band a success. "Because Tommy Lee’s got Motley Crue and Jason Newsted’s very passionate about (Canadian metal band) Voivod, there are a lot of questions as to whether this band is going to really take off. That’s up in the air," she says. "And then, how much commitment do the actual members of Supernova have? There was a lot of chit-chat in the (Rock Star) mansion about that."

While only time will tell if the finalists’ concerns are justified, only one of them – the person who is named the band’s singer during the show’s finale in September – will truly be affected. And that person, Galt says, will likely be Toronto’s Lukas Rossi, Australia’s Toby Rand or South Africa’s Dilana Robichaux. "When I first got there, I really had the attitude that I wanted to win. But then, as it went along, and Lukas, Dilana and Toby kind of emerged, it was a little hard for everyone else," she says, adding she hopes Rossi takes it, but not because he’s Canadian. "I think he’s most suited for that particular band. He’s got that arrogant rock ‘n’ roll personality about him and his style suits them."

While Galt was prepared to change her own style to fit into what Supernova wanted, she now admits she wasn’t the best choice. "I am a rocker chick to an extent, but there is a whole softer side to me. I have always loved playing a piano ballad to a room of silent listeners and, above all, I’m a song- writer. I want to release an album of great songs."

I believe everything she saying. I think there will only be one mandatory concert after the show and that is it.

Ryan Star almost turned down Supernova
July 20th, 2006 under Rock Star: Supernova. [ Comments: none ]

Ryan Star was already selling out shows as an Indie artist before he got the call that he had been selected for Rock Star Supernova.  In an exclusive interview with Reality TV Magazine, Ryan Star said “when they told me I made it I actually turned it down.”  However, Ryan did eventually decide to go forward with Rock Star, and he tells Reality TV Magazine if he wins then he believes "with me they would actually record more than one album" and how some of his fellow rock stars “should be up for an Emmy.”

I get it that he sold a few albums, but so what. No one really knew who he was until the show and if then. I mean his attitude towards Dana made him look like the d!ck that he is. I doubt he will go much further.

Now Rock Star: INXS sued
July 19th, 2006 under Rock Star: Supernova. [ Comments: none ]

TWO producers of reality TV show Rock Star would have been paid if they had "performed their jobs correctly", INXS guitarist-pianist Andrew Farriss said in court today. The two Australian producers behind the hit show – in which INXS auditioned potential lead singers – claim they were sacked by the band without being paid.
David Edwards and Michael Murchison say that as executive producers of the series they were entitled to 18 per cent of the band’s income from the project, but were dumped without getting their share. They are seeking more than $7.5 million in damages and today applied for an injunction in the New South Wales Supreme Court to freeze the band’s assets. But INXS wants the case stayed until the resolution of legal action involving the parties in California, which could take two years.

Storm Large told Tommy Lee 6 letters – Google
July 19th, 2006 under Mötley Crüe, Rock Star: Supernova. [ Comments: none ]

Wow that picture is as bad as her singing! She so messed up that The Cars song and hopefully the boys of Supernova will see this and bash the overrated bitch. If you want to see more pictures of her, you can check it out at Laura Domela
Now more on Rock Star: Superrnova, Jason Newsted is so sad. I mean he is the Randy Jackson of the group where he all he does is talk about his has been career that will never be again. And the fact that he had to go up there and jam with Phil and take camera time away from him is again so sad. He looks like the blond one in Beavis and Butthead. I so can’t stand his sad sorry a$$. The other judges are growing one me, but he repulses more and more every episode. Mark Burnett bad bad choice on asking him to do the show.
And now I am up to Lucas Rossi. A few weeks ago we saw Eva Longoria without make-up and we learned make-up makes her beautiful. Lucas is the opposite, it makes him fuglier. So fugly I can not look as his sorry face. He is like the ugly Good Charlotte triplet. But he will win  because he is fugly like Supernova. I know there are girls out there that like the look, but give me Duran Duran anyday!
