Is Richard Simmons finally back? |

It has been way too long since we have seen Richard Simmons, but he might finally be ready to come back into the spotlight. For a few days, he has had an announcement on his YouTube page that he will be releasing a video today.
It was finally time for the video to premiere and it was a trailer with old footage of him working out. At the end of the promo, he says that he will be releasing weekly workout and inspiration videos.
Does that mean he is back? I sure hope. If ever we needed his positive spirit, it is now. Please come back to us, we miss, need and love you!

It has been four years since we have seen Richard Simmons and looks like he finally has something new in works. Yesterday, he announced on social media, “I hope you will tune in to an awesome new way to shop for some classic merchandise and soon to be arriving great new product. See link to Talk Shop Live…First presentation is tomorrow at 5 pm PST/8 PM EST. And make sure you subscribe to my channel for advance notice when new products are available. Hope you enjoy it!”
What does that mean? We will find out in a few hours. Hopefully, he is ready to come out of hiding because I miss and love that man’s beautiful positive spirit. We need it more than ever.

Richard Simmons was hospitalized this week for severe indigestion and fans were even more worried about him than they have been since he went into seclusion 3 years ago. The Weight Saint wanted to ease his fans by writing a personal message to them on Facebook.
Hello to everyone who has shown concern for me and sent their good wishes. You will never know how much it means to me.
Aren’t you sick of hearing and reading about me?! LOL Well by now you know that I’m not “missing”, just a little under the weather. I’m sure I will be feeling good and back home in a couple of days.
This has reminded me that when you need help you can’t be afraid to reach out and ask for it. We all think we should always be able to solve our problems all by ourselves and sometimes it’s just bigger than we are.
I reached out and I hope you will too. I’m sure there are people in your life who love and care for you and would do anything to help you with the challenges you face.
Just knowing you care has already made me feel better. Hope to see you again soon!

Richard Simmons breaks his silence on if he’s transitioning |

A few weeks ago, Richard Simmons was briefly hospitalized and then there were plenty of rumors about him. Several tabloids said that The Weight Saint was transitioning into being a woman, and today he denied it.
He said, “Some tabloids have recently falsely reported that I am transitioning. In response, I feel compelled to set the record straight and refute these lies. Although I am not transitioning, I have and always will be supportive of those who are going through their journey. We should not lose focus on showing love, strength and compassion to all of the LGBT community during these tragic times. My broken heart and healing thoughts are with the people of Orlando and all other victims of prejudice, bigotry and hate.”
Hopefully this declaration will get them to stop, but it won’t. I wish that it would because he obviously is going through something and rumors like this won’t help. We should be helping him like he has helped so many others.

Richard Simmons says he is good and not being held hostage. |

Over the weekend, The NY Daily News posted an article about how Richard Simmons’ friends are worried about him and fear that he is possibly being held captive by his maid of 30 years since he hasn’t been seen in over in public or by his friends in over 2 years. Today, he spoke with Today and denied all of that.
Savannah Guthrie started their phone call of by asking him how he is doing and he said, “I’m feeling good, my health is good and I am sort of enjoying the day.” When she asked if he was being held captive, he told her, “No one is holding me in my house as a hostage. I do what I want to do as I have always done. So people should sort of believe what I have to say because like, I’m Richard Simmons.”
Then he explained why we haven’t seen him two years. He said. “I just sort of want to be a little bit of a loner for a while. You know, I had hurt my knee, and I had some problems with it, and then the other knee started giving me trouble because I’ve taught like thousands and thousands of classes, and you know right now I just want to sort of take care of me.”
When asked if this was his decision, he sadly said, “I just really don’t want to do anything, you know. I just don’t want to be traveling anymore. It certainly has taken its toll on me, so it was not like over a day, it was just over some time.”
How is he spending the time? He goes for walks, drives and works out in his own personal gym at his house. In fact, he even told Entertainment Tonight‘s Brad Bessey that he has not gained weight and still weighs 150 pounds.
Before he hung up the phone, he had a message for his fans who are worried about him. He said, “For all the people that were worrying about me, I want to tell them that I love them with my whole heart and soul and that not to worry, Richard’s fine.” Concluding the call with, “You haven’t seen the last of me. I’ll come back, and I’ll come back strong.”
I don’t know what is going and it is not really my place to judge, but I find it so weird for that someone who feeds off of human attention and is so kind to others, suddenly desires to just be alone for so long. I hope whatever he is going through, passes soon. The world is much brighter place with his smile, attitude and and crazy outfits. We need out Richard Simmons back.
