My theory on the Grease twist?
February 19th, 2007 under Reality TV. [ Comments: none ]

Since NBC announced last week that they picked up two more episodes for this season, I think that they are going to add 2 more Sandys and Dannys? I am hoping they bring back jock boy, 17 year old girl and the waitress! I am not really loving anyone so far, but I think it is too early to tell because we really haven’t seen them perform yet.
Side note. did Jeff Conway seem like he needed to go back into rehab?

Donny Osmond is ABC’s Dream
February 19th, 2007 under Reality TV, The Osmonds. [ Comments: none ]

Donny Osmond has signed on to host ABC’s upcoming unscripted series "The Great American Dream Vote." The show features eight contestants who reveal a lifelong dream to the studio audience, explaining why they think it deserves to be fulfilled. Contestants will square off, and the studio audience will cast votes, eliminating entrants over several rounds. By the end of each show, two finalists will remain. Then viewers at home will have the opportunity to vote on which of the two most deserves to have his or her dream realized, with the results being disclosed at the opening of the following week’s episode. ABC has not set a premiere date for "Dream Vote," whose executive producers are also behind the network’s "Bachelor" series.

This show has failure all over it. I give it 4 weeks at the most.

Big Brother back on CBS this summer
February 19th, 2007 under Reality TV. [ Comments: none ]

"Big Brother" will be back for another round of real-people melodrama. CBS has greenlit production on an eighth season of the hit summer sudser, which has become a fixture on the net’s warm-weather sked. After pausing last year for an "all-star" edition featuring past contestants, skein will return to its normal "real" people format this year. Julie Chen is on board to once again host "Big Brother," which first debuted in 2000, weeks after "Survivor" launched. Allison Grodner Prods. will produce, in association with Endemol USA.

I just wish they would get rid of Julie Chen already

Last Comic Standing gets a new host and judges
February 19th, 2007 under Reality TV. [ Comments: none ]

NBC’s "Last Comic Standing" is getting a new host, some new judges and a bigger travel budget. The stand-up comedy show, which enters its fifth season in the summer, is taking its search for talented comedians outside the United States for the first time. "Last Comic" talent scouts will travel to London, Montreal and Sydney this season, in addition to holding casting calls in Los Angeles, New York, Minneapolis, San Antonio and Tempe, Ariz. Along with the expanded contestant search, the show is getting a new host in comedian Bill Bellamy and a new set of judges, all of whom are former "Last Comic" finalists. Season three winner Alonzo Bodden and season two finalists Ant and Kathleen Madigan will help pare down the field before the audience weighs in with their votes. Auditions for the coming season of "Last Comic Standing" kick off Monday, Feb. 26 in Los Angeles. Dates and locations are at NBC.com.

I wish they were able to bring back Jay Mohr, he was the best host! At least they got rid of Anthony Clark, he was beyond painful. I love that Alonzo Bodden and Kathleen Madigan are going to be part of the show, but I wish ANT would go away. He just needs to tone it down and maybe I could tolerate him.
