Papa Roach, Shinedown, and Oliver Anthony were all set to play the Blue Ridge Rock Festival, but Mother Nature had other plans for them. So the festival decided to cancel the last two days of the fest due to the severe weather.
Well, the musicians didn’t want the fans to leave without seeing them do their thing. So they played an acoustic gig in the parking lot. And everyone had a rockin’ time. Probably a better one than if they got the full effect.
I love bands who care about their fans! We need more groups like them.

Jacoby Shaddix wrote No Apologies for his father |

Papa Roach has a new powerful song out called No Apologies, and singer Jacoby Shaddix explained the story behind it. “I wrote this song to forgive my father for not showing up when I was a kid,” he said. “The song is about forgiveness.”
You would think that his dad should apologize to him. However, when you listen to the song, you understand what he means. And you will be crying by the end of it now that you know what it is about and where he was coming from when he wrote it.

Papa Roach’s Jacoby Shaddix had his cake and won’t let anyone else eat it |

Today is Jacoby Shaddix’s 45th birthday, and his Papa Roach bandmates got him a birthday cake yesterday since they are on the road. They even sang happy birthday to their singer. Then he blew out the candles and smashed his head into the cake.
If that doesn’t say Rock Star, I don’t know what does!
I hope Shaddix is having the bitchingest of birthdays, and he is still not cleaning out frosting from all of his facial orifices.

If you are going to name your band Papa Roach, then at some point, real roaches are going to have to be involved. And it finally happened over the weekend.
Lead singer Jacoby Shaddix has turned into a cockroach, and he has no apologies about it.
That is until his last resort is someone stepping on him. Because he is a roach, and that is what we do to them once we stop screaming. Or at least that is what I do.
Oh, and just because Shaddix is that gross bug, he still sounds great! Almost like he is still human.
One last joke, Shaddix’s new Last Resort is the Roach Motel. Which is a literal last resort for roaches.
