Brittany Murphy passed away from cardiac arrest at the too young age of 32 according to TMZ. Details are still sketchy so until they are more accurate I will leave it with that about the cause of death. Billy Bush tweeted that Access Hollywood has confirmed the news sadly, but details are still unknown.
I know people loved to make fun of her, but I always loved everything she did. I really think she had so much potential and was a lot like her character Tai in Clueless and was just waiting to blossom if only people would let her.
So take 90 minutes of your day and pay respects to an actress that was taken away from us way too soon and watch her in Clueless and or one of her many other movies.
My prayers go out to her mom whom she was very close to and her husband Simon Monjack, whom she married in May of 2007.
UPDATE: TMZ is reporting that her mom was the one discovered her in the shower.
UPDATE 2: Brittany Murphy’s publicist issued this statement according to CNN, “In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support. It is their wish that you respect their privacy.” Here is the new statement, “The sudden loss of our beloved Brittany is a terrible tragedy. She was our daughter, our wife, our love and a shining star. We ask you to respect our privacy at this time.”
UPDATE 3: AP is reporting that Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said it appears that she might’ve died of natural causes. TMZ is reporting that she was sick from flu-like symptoms for the last few days and was vomiting earlier today. They added an autopsy would be done either Monday to Tuesday. When it comes to the story of her husband not wanting her to have an autopsy, here is what Judiasm 101 says about them, “Autopsies in general are discouraged as desecration of the body. They are permitted, however, where it may save a life or where local law requires it. When autopsies must be performed, they should be minimally intrusive.”

The cause of his death is unknown, but the NY Times is reporting that a friend said he was suffering from a headache and flu like symptoms. So sad because 52 is way too young to die.
In honor of Ken Ober, watch MTV and think of him.
