Seriously? OMG! WTF?

Sources tell TMZ that Nicole Richie passed out at Hyde nightclub early Sunday morning in Hollywood. We’re told it occurred just before 2 a.m., when Richie passed out and fell to the floor. An employee approached Richie and her friends and said he was calling 911. Sources say they told the employee not to make the call and that they would take Richie to a hospital. The friends then carried Richie out of the club through the back door. TMZ does not know if Richie went to the hospital. Late last week, Richie’s reps confirmed that the "Simple Life" star entered a treatment facility to determine why she hasn’t gained weight. Richie has looked shockingly thin over the last few months. Richie’s rep tells TMZ her client was at Hyde for approximately 20 minutes but denies that she collapsed.

Nicole Richie is taking a break from The Simple Life to seek help in her own life. The 25-year-old reality TV star is in an undisclosed private facility, her publicist exclusively tells E! News, "to undergo diagnostic treatment to determine why she’s not been putting on any weight." "She is working with a team of doctors and specialists whose focus is nutrition," says the rep. "It is important to Nicole that she achieve this goal in a healthy way, [but] this is not a treatment for an eating disorder." Richie’s treatment means work on the new season of The Simple Life, which will find Richie and recently reconciled pal Paris Hilton as camp counselors, is temporarily on hold. In a joint statement, show producers 20th Century Fox and Bunim/Murray said, "Everyone…supports Nicole and wishes her well. We consider her a part of our family and look forward to resuming production on The Simple Life when she is ready." Meanwhile, E!, which televises the series, added, "Nicole is an important member of the E! Networks family. We send her our very best wishes and look forward to working with her on the new season of The Simple Life." (E! Online is a division of E! Networks.) In recent months, Richie has addressed rampant tabloid speculation over her weight loss. Last spring, she told People that "stress" over her breakup with former fiancé Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein briefly affected her eating habits.

Celebs don’t often like talking about their break-ups. So us mere norms (that’s normal, non-famous types) don’t get to know the reasons behind their splits. Which bugs us, because we’re nosy. But Nicole Richie’s former boyf Brody Jenner has come clean about the reason they broke up. And apparently it was down to constant arguing. Nic and Brody have been friends since childhood and dated for two months before calling it a day in early October 2006. He told Star magazine: "It was getting too serious. We started fighting. There was too much bickering." He also explained one of the reasons they started dating in first place, adding: "She lived above me, you know, in the apartment building. So it was convenient. "I’ve known her since we were kids and I really just wanted to be friends. She’s a great girl and now we are good friends." That’s what we like to hear. Brody is reportedly dating The Hills reality TV star Lauren Conrad, while Nicole has been spotted out and about with French fashion editor Samuel Plouchart.

Last night we were tipped that PARIS HILTON would be at DAN TANA’S on SANTA MONICA BLVD. in WEST HOLLYWOOD. When we arrived, a TMZ shooter was there. He was a doorguy at HYDE in the past and attacked me, without provocation, and broke my strobe on my NIKON. I complained to the management at HYDE, telling them to check their surveillance video for the truth. Evidently something happened, because the next time I saw him, he was no longer a doorman, but was now a TMZ.com video camera man. When I asked him to compensate for breaking my equipment, he laughed and denied hitting me. I guarantee that he did hit me hard enough to break my flash. My guys and me were the only photographers and videographers there, except for TMZ boy. TMZ boy got on the phone and begged for his buddies at X-17 to come to DAN TANA’s. About ten of them showed up. Blew the exclusive, and pushed and shoved their smelly Brazilian asses in front of our cameras. When will the IMMIGRATION SERVICE and the POLICE check out the people shooting for this agency?
