Spot the Bands and Find the Cryptic Film Titles!
August 19th, 2007 under Music. [ Comments: 1 ]

So a few years ago, my friend Jen sent me this evil game called Spot the Bands and the game almost cost us our friendship as we tried to Spot the bands.

So for two years, I sat and waited for the perfect revenge to that game and I finally got it the day before her birthday. My friend Joele sent me this new game Find the Cryptic Film Titles!

So how many cryptic film titles can you find in this picture (click on the pictures to enlarge them) like Toy Story? There are only 100 titles to identify and I think I found about 40 of them, so let me know which ones you find. BTW there are only 85 in the first game.

Thanks Joele!

Prince is giving away his new CD away for free in The UK
July 1st, 2007 under Music. [ Comments: none ]

Prince has upset record labels all over the world by opting to give away his new CD away for free in The Daily Mail and to people seeing his concert there.  Personally if anyone should be getting that CD for free it is the schmucks that are paying over $2,000 to see him here in LA. I never got the whole Prince thing, I know he can play a bunch of instruments, but ever since he became a symbol his music has gone to crap. Seriously I thinking giving away the album for free is probably what it is worth because I doubt there is at least one hit on there.
BTW Sony BMG gave this as a reason why they will not be releasing the CD in The UK according to Entertainment Wise, “Given the sheer number of copies we are talking about here it seemed the right thing to do for retailers to become exempt from the deal in the UK." I wonder how this will change the way record labels will promote CDs?

Prince leaving Las Vegas already?
February 21st, 2007 under Music. [ Comments: none ]

Prince's run at the Rio might be a brief one. Alicia Jacobs, entertainment reporter at KVBC-TV, Channel 3, reported Sunday that Prince will end his Rio deal on March 31. Jacobs said Prince, who took over the Club Rio showroom in November, is going on tour to promote his latest CD. But a 3121 rep said the show is indefinite, and "there's not a confirmed end date as of yet." Perhaps most revealing, however, was the group of uber entertainment executives who attended a private Prince performance about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, after his main show at his 3121 club. Among 30 guests in a small backroom were ABC entertainment honcho David Saltz; Apple Records boss Jonathan Clyde, who produced most of Usher's major hits, and Siegfried & Roy's longtime manager, Bernie Yuman. Saltz is reportedly working on a huge Beatles-related Prince project. Prince spent most of the private concert singing arrangements of Beatles songs.

He lasted way longer than I thought! And WTF is he doing with The Beatles? That makes me nervous.

The Eagles are recording again?
February 19th, 2007 under Music. [ Comments: none ]

Don Henley dropped a bombshell during a private concert in Las Vegas on Saturday: The Eagles are working on their first album of all new music in 28 years. "It’s coming out in 60 to 90 days, if we don’t kill each other first," Henley told a VIP crowd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. It would be the group’s first such album since "The Long Run" in 1979, which included their last Billboard No. 1 hit, "Heartache Tonight." Henley, one of the original members, later told the crowd of 10,000 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, "I’ll see you this summer," hinting at an Eagles tour. The Eagles disbanded in 1982 but reunited in 1994 with Henley, Glenn Frey, Don Felder, Joe Walsh and Timothy Schmit. The band’s last release was "Hell Freezes Over" in 1994, which included some new songs and past hits recorded for an MTV audience.

I wonder what took them so long since they have been touring together for years
