Nia Vardalos reveals she’s ready to film My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, but…
April 8th, 2021 under Movies, Nia Vardalos. [ Comments: none ]

Nia Vardalos told some people that she is ready to film My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3. Since they are Greek, they told some people, and they told some people and so on. Therefore, her secret got out.

She took to social media to clear up the rumors. For the last year, she and the cast have been ready to film the third movie. However, between COVID-19 and not being able to get insurance for her independent film, they are stuck in pause.

Now, the actress, writer, and producer is asking for your help to find a company that will insure her film so that she can make it.

As soon as that happens, the Greek is off to Greece to film. Doesn’t that make you want to see it even more?

So here is a true story about me. One day, when I was heading to work, I got stung by a bee. When I got to my job, I could not find anything to put on it. That was until I saw they had some Windex. Windex can cure anything, and it helped with the pain. Now, I keep a bottle handy.

Remember that sweet little actress who played the younger version of Jennifer Garner in 13 Going on 30? Well, Christa Allen is all grown. So much so, she wanted to let us know that she is going to turn 30 on November 11th.

Feel old? I called Shady Pines and asked what their availability is? I am moving in next week.

Martin Freeman was not a porn star in Love Actually
March 22nd, 2021 under Movies. [ Comments: none ]

I don’t know about you, but I thought that John (Martin Freeman) and Judy (Joanna Page) were playing porn stars in the movie Love Actually. I was wrong. Today, the Sherlock star told Jess Cagle on his SiriusXM radio show that is not the case.

“We were stand-ins on an Eyes Wide Shut type big-budget film. And we were just two sweet normal people who fancied each other and would have these very innocent, lovely, old-fashioned conversations while we happen to be half-naked, and I was squeezing her breasts sort of thing,” Freeman said. “I think you’d want your money back if I was a porn star. You might have felt short-changed.”

I did not feel short-changed after watching him in the holiday film, did you? And did you also think he was a porn star or was it just me?

Movie theaters will reopen up in Hollywood next week
March 12th, 2021 under Coronavirus, Movies. [ Comments: none ]

AMC Theaters

For a year, movie theaters have been closed in Hollywood and Los Angeles. But that is going to change next week because Governor Gavin Newsom gave them the go-ahead to reopen. However, they will only be able to operate at 25% capacity at first. 25% is better than nothing.

This news is a huge sigh of relief for movie execs because now they can release big-budget movies where they belong, on the big screen.

Do you feel comfortable going to the movies, or not yet? Until I get the vaccine, I don’t feel comfortable doing anything indoors outside of my house.

AMC movie theaters in NYC will reopen on March 5th
February 22nd, 2021 under Coronavirus, Movies. [ Comments: none ]

It has been almost a year since the credits rolled at NYC movie theaters. However, that is all expected to change on March 5th. That is because Governor Andrew Cuomo announced today that they are cleared to let the popcorn start popping again on that date.

“Governor Cuomo’s announcement that movie theatres can reopen in New York City in the first week of March is another important step towards restoring the health of the movie theatre industry and of our Company. We are excited to announce that AMC, the largest movie theatre exhibitor in New York City, will reopen all 13 of our theatres in New York City beginning March 5,” Adam Aron, CEO and President of AMC Entertainment said. “We will do so with the highest devotion to the health and safety of our guests and associates through our AMC Safe & Clean policies and protocols, which were developed in consultation with Clorox and with current and former faculty at the prestigious Harvard University School of Public Health. AMC Safe & Clean includes social distancing & automatic seat blocking in each auditorium, mandatory mask wearing, and upgraded air filtration with MERV-13 air filters, as well as many other important health, sanitization and cleanliness efforts.”

One of the biggest differences for moviegoers is that a sold-out showing will mean that only 25% of the seats will be occupied. No more sneaking into the theater to catch another movie for free. You will stick out like a sore thumb.

This is great news for New York City. If movie theaters can successfully open up, then Broadway should not be far behind. Manhattan desperately needs that. The same way Hollywood needs to have movies back on the big screen.

On that note, what will be the first release? As of now, it will be Disney’s Raya and the Dragon. Tom & Jerry that opens this Friday, will be sharing the marquee with the animated film.

This is a start. Let’s hope they don’t f*ck it up.

Do you feel comfortable going back into the theater, or do you still need some time?
