September 13th, 2008 under Lifetime, Reviews. [ Comments: 2 ]

“Coco Chanel” is the rags-to-riches tale charting the rise of one of the most influential fashion icons of the 20th century. From her humble childhood in a French orphanage, through her early days as a young dressmaker’s assistant, to her passionate and tragic love with a dashing Englishman, and ultimately to her success as a pioneering icon, “Coco Chanel” is the story of a glamorous woman who was hard to love and harder to ignore. This epic true story stars Shirley MacLaine, Malcolm McDowell and Barbora Bobulova.

Shirley MacLaine is Coco Chanel on Lifetime at 8p and she is in a movie as fashionable as the real Coco Chanel. This movie is amazing, not only is it the story of how Coco Chanel became the name became in fashion it is also a story of love! Coco Chanel is a real rags to riches story, and she had to work many years to become the woman she was known for. And she had a man who helped her to make her that way, but their love story was not an easy one, but a beautiful one. Barbora Bobulova is amazing as the young Coco Chanel who struggles with love, life and fashion.

In “Little Girl Lost,” Reyes portrays Luz Cuevas, a working-class mother who is told that her infant daughter, Delimar, has perished in a suspicious fire in their Philadelphia row house. Despite the evidence, and based only on her intuition as a mother, Luz remains convinced that her daughter was kidnapped and that she’s still alive. Luz and her husband attempt to put the tragedy behind them for the sake of their other children, however, Luz continues to suspect her distant cousin of foul play and enlists the help of Angel Cruz, a sympathetic State Representative.

Little Girl Lost premieres tonight on Lifetime Movie Network at 8p! Little Lost Girl is based on a real story, and knowing that made this movie even more remarkable. To think a woman really went through all of this, makes you think how much more this story is. This is the stuff that Hollywood dreams of, but it is not made up it is real. This movie will make you cry as Luz tries to convince everyone that her daughter is alive, and when you finally find out her daughter is alive it makes you cry tears of joy. What I like most about this story it is a politician who saves the day. Just when you lose hope in politicians, this movie helps you regain your faith in them.
So tune in to Lifetime Movie Network and watch Little Girl Lost at 8p for movie that will amaze you.

True Confenssions of a Hollywood Starlet is a must-watch
August 9th, 2008 under Lifetime, Reviews. [ Comments: 2 ]

Teen actress Morgan Carter is a Hollywood princess, until the day that her hard-partying ways get the best of her. After she collapses outside a Hollywood nightclub, Morgan’s mother sends her to live incognito in the wilds of Fort Wayne, Indiana, with her Aunt Trudy. With a new look and a seriously depleted budget, Morgan enters a suburban high school with a new identity and a bad attitude. But it’s not long before a cute boy next door turns her head. And suddenly Morgan finds herself caught between the bright lights of Hollywood and a simple life with the boy she loves. Based on the book by Lola Douglas.

I loved True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet that premieres on Lifetime tonight at 8p! I laughed, I cried and I really want more!!!
When I got the screener for this, I thought this movie was going to be stupid and a waste of time but I was shocked by how much I loved this movie. Jojo plays a mixture of Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears, but instead she crashes and burns at 17. Because of her young age her mom and manager send her to her aunt’s (Valerie Bertinelli) in Fort Wayne, Indiana to be a normal teen. Jojo actually played the role perfectly of Morgan Carter, she changes with her character and doesn’t overact anything and doesn’t forget how she should be acting at that time in the movie. She starts off spoiled starlet but you watch her change into a normal teen. Valerie Bertinelli plays her aunt perfectly, some of their scenes together just draw right into the movie. At one point in the movie I started to cry and I couldn’t believe that this movie touched me that much. In fact I cried a few times, but I laughed and smiled even more.
It is great to watch as Morgan Carter grows throughout the movie. In fact it takes a real look into what is going wrong with some of the biggest grown up child stars of today. In fact I think this is a must watch for parents of child stars to see how important it is to make sure they have normal lives too and not one that is just work, assistants and yes people.
Seriously, I love True Confessions of a Hollywood so much, I hope that Lifetime is considering turning this movie into a series.
So tune into True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet on Lifetime at 8p for a movie that will surprise you how good it is!

Denise gets found out on tonight’s Army Wives
July 27th, 2008 under Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

Roland is suspected of inappropriate behavior with one of his students. Roxy hires a new waitress, Sandi (guest-star Ana Ortiz, “Ugly Betty”), to work at Betty’s Bar and Grill. Pamela is stunned when Chase is arrested along with several other members of Delta Force.

Lifetime’s Army Wives gets better every week. I can’t wait to see what Denise says to Roland when he confronts her. If I were her, I would chose the doctor over husband every time. He is a cutie and her husband is a meanie who is never there, but that is me!
So tune in to Lifetime’s number one show Army Wives tonight at 10p.

How to Look Good Naked still looks good!
July 22nd, 2008 under Lifetime, Reviews. [ Comments: 2 ]

How to Look Good Naked is back on Lifetime tonight at 10p and this show not has a new day and time, but it is also an hour long! I did not realize last season how much they rushed into a half hour, but now that it is hour it is even better! We get more of the feel of what a transformation the women go through and we also go along on even more of a journey with them! I am loving the changes of this sweet inspiring show!
One thing that hasn’t changed is how supportive and amazing Carson Kressley is to all the women he helps! He is just so awesome, you want him for your best friend!
I am so glad Lifetime brought this show back, bigger and better than before! So tonight (and every Tuesday) take off all your clothes and put on How to Look Good Naked on Lifetime at 10
